Update 3: Here are some pictures of Smokey from the Show. Nicely done ladies! Thanks to Cindy for the photos.

Nice Heeling Smokey
Smokey also competed in the Bred By Exhibitor Class in Conformation and took a Third Place ribbon each day.
UPDATE 2: Congratulations to Smokey and her handler Cindy! New Rally Novice with three straight qualifying scores: 92.0, 87.0, and 91.0 GREAT JOB GIRLS!
UPDATE 1: Smokey has passed two of the three required legs so far. She only needs one more to earn her RN title! Bring it on home Smokey!
One of Thunder and Tule’s pups is entered in an Obedience Trial this weekend. She is entered in Rally Novice. It will be her first time entered in this kind of event (although she already has her CGC and TDI). This trial is open to all breeds. I think Smokey may be the only Chesapeake Bay Retriever entered. At just over a year old, she may also be among the younger dogs at the trial.
Go Smokey! Go Cindy!
We know you will shine!
An explaination of Rally from the American Kennel Club’s site:
Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has been designed by the rally judge. The judge tells the handler to begin, and the dog and handler go ahead at their own pace through a course of designated stations (10 – 20, depending on the level). Each of these stations has a sign providing instructions about the next skill that is to be performed. Scoring is not as rigorous as traditional obedience.

Hopefully I will get results and be able to update.
