The Southern Zone opened for waterfowl yesterday so Thunder got a second chance at Opening Day. The weather was warm and sunny, more like Summer than Fall. The hunters loaded up the boat, one of the 2 brown dawgs, and headed out well before dawn to the marsh.
Thunder staked out his spot.
He waited.
And he watched.
But mostly what he saw was…
The weather wasn’t ideal, but Thunder did get four retrieves, three green winged teal and a ring-necked duck. Unfortunately no pictures of Thunder with the birds, but he had a great day hanging out in the marsh…no place a Chesapeake Bay Retriever would rather be on Opening Day or any day!
