Actually I just wanted to take advantage of some pre-Christmas sales to pick up some of our must have toys for the puppy.  These are all toys that both Thunder and Storm loved when they were pups.  They work for teething and to keep them busy and out of trouble.

Our Must Have Toys

First on the list is Puppy Kong.  It is a bit softer then the regular Kong and appeals to puppies.  You can stuff them or just let puppy play with it unstuffed.  Next is Puppy Fish from Nylabone.  We like this toy because you can freeze it to make puppy more comfortable when teething.  We also give Nylabone Flexi-Chew.  This is not specifically a puppy toy, but puppies seem to like them.  Last is a new toy for us: the Kong Funster.  I thought it might be a fun toy for early fetch play and it squeaks.

All of these toys are really only for when the puppy is young and before permanent teeth come in.  Once the permanent teeth come in, they are too soft.  Since they are soft, they will be kept away from the adult dogs.

Of course as I was taking pictures, someone had to come and investigate…

    I just saw my Kong in that photo, the one you can put things inside! I’ve still got mine even after a year and a half, actually I’ve got virtually all my puppy toys still, but that’s cos I’m really careful with my toys……

    Can’t wait to see the puppy, is Santa bringing him?
