The pups are now 6 weeks old.  Yesterday we visited with them as they spent a little time outside playing.  We brought the boys out two at a time and the three girls out as a group.  After the pups spent a bit of time looking around, we showed them the wing on a string.  They had a fun chasing it and tugging on it.  Every single pup was interested.  They are really nice pups. 🙂

I took a million good pictures today, (well not a million, but a lot of nice ones).  Of course I can’t post them all so I separated them into boys and girls.  I am posting the boys today and the girls will be posted tomorrow.  🙂

  1. The pups are getting quite big now, they change every time I see them!
Thanks for the photos of the boys, they are gorgeous; looking forward to seeing the girls tomorrow.

  2. Now that I have taken a minute for my heart to stop melting…..what great shots! They really do seem interested in that wing. I’ve just never seen that before. I love that first pic. If his tail was up he’d look like a he was pointing! They are all just so darn cute! Can’t wait to see the girls!

    1. There wasn’t one of them who wasn’t interested in the wing…boys and girls. A good thing for a hunting dog. I had to just pick some photos or this post would have had 50 pictures. 🙂

It is cute, their tails were always wagging. 🙂 They are happy puppies.

  3. Those pictures are awesome! Is there anything better than a smiling puppy? Love that picture. I have a question about the wing, do they ever try and eat it? That would be my concern with Delilah since she is so fixated on food.

    1. Yes, but eating is good! It is a sign that they are birdie. Of course these are small wings and we were watching, so no actual eating. 🙂

Delilah fetches and doesn’t try to eat what she brings back, does she? Fetching rather than eating is partly breeding and partly training. 🙂

      1. Yes, she does fetch (sticks) but I haven’t tried tossing food. I have a feeling she would eat it, but I could try it with a small value item. 🙂

  4. Such cuties! It would be impossible for me to pick just one! I love the look on the one titled “Happy” – wow, is he ever soaking up that petting! Hmmm…I wonder if Mr. Retriever is showing off his skills to win his way into your home…. 😉

  5. Nothing like a good wings. They are so very cute. How will you choose?
    Blessings,

  6. Those puppies keep getting cuter and it was fun getting to see them play. Thanks for sharing the great pics.

  7. Who knew a wing could be so much fun!!! I love the photos of the puppy stomping on the wing to get it to hold still for a second. :-p

Any idea which puppy is coming home with you yet?
