Monday Mischief–Act Preoccupied

We finally had our long-awaited reunion with Freighter.  Darrin, his trainer, is doing a great job with Freighter’s field training.  He sure has come  along way in three weeks.  However, our sweet little puppy has turned into a training maniac.  We watched Freighter run a few marks (more on that tomorrow).  After he was done for the day, we took him out for a visit.  Did he even care or was he more preoccupied with his trainer and the marks he was throwing for another dog?  You decide.

This Is Better.  I Can See Now.

OK I’m Sitting But I’d Rather Be Working

Nice Visiting Whoever You Are

Tomorrow some pictures of Freighter, Thunder and Storm’s work.

This is a Blog Hop.  Thanks to  Alfie’s BlogSnoopy’s Dog Blog, Luna, a Dog’s Life, and My Brown Newfies for setting up this hop.  Please go to any of the sponsoring blogs to find out who else has been mischievous.

  1. Hi Y’all!

Whoa! What a wild man! Oh to be young again!

I’m only 6 but I’d just as soon be wherever my Human is…if it’s hiking, great! playing ball, great! retrieving bumpers, great! Otherwise, let me lay by her chair or rest a head on her knee while she pats me. Maybe he’ll mellow with age or maybe you’d better count on Thunder mellowing first. ;) Or Scout…after…you know…

    Y’all come back now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

    • That is the plan. Saturday he was in a “hole” where he could see the marks going off. Talk about whining…lol. Freighter and a flat coat…whine whine whine.

  2. Love your new template and header! Wow I can’t get over Freighter’s focus, he really is a natural retriever (maybe even uber natural!) and is completely in his element. He’s going to be your next blue ribbon pup! :)

  3. Wow – that flew by! So glad to hear he loves his new job so much – but sorry you got the crappy greeting. Don’t you just love it when you miss them to pieces after a time away, and they give you like a drive by greeting. “Oh hi! Nice to see you. Okay, see yah later, I’ve got things to do!”

  4. Haha Freighter,

They sure can’t say you weren’t concentrating enough, hey?

    Have fun,

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  5. He sure looks good, glad the training is coming along nicely. When I left Norman and Nellie at the trainers they wouldn’t even look at me. They loved Uncle Mike because he was doing all the fun stuff with them. I did manage to get a kiss here and there thou!

    • Thunder was the same way as Freighter. We sent Thunder to a different trainer who was quite a distance away. The trainer had to come to Michigan to judge a test so I met her here to pick up Thunder. He acted like he had no idea who I was. It wasn’t until I turned the car on to our street that he acknowledged me…lol. Storm, well she was always happy to see us. But then she has her own personality.

  6. Sweet Freighter we are so happy to come here and see you…we missed you! We can see you took your training to heart. We are happy you are enjoying it and it is not like work to you. Keep enjoying those bumpers but don’t forget to give the family some hugs now and then. lol Hugs and nose kisses

  7. It’s really great that Freighter is learning so well. You can see the focus and desire on every inch of hid face. But you know … There’s another dog getting all the bumpers Mom… Those are my bumpers, I’m suppose to be getting those :( Freighter is going to be great :-)
