This is the Follow-up Friday Blog hop.  Thank you to Heart Like A Dog for hosting the blog hop that:

Lets you wrap up your week and leads you right into the weekend.

Monday Mischief–Alarm Clock

The thing about the Storm alarm clock, she had been fed and had been outside.  Sometimes when Storm and Freighter do a little too much rough housing in the morning we separate them.  That is what my hubby did Saturday morning.  Usually Storm just goes to sleep on her bed.  Not last Saturday.  I couldn’t be too mad at her.  I don’t think Storm has ever jumped on me in the morning, let alone licked my face.  Who has taken my Chessie and substituted a lab?  😛

The Pups Turn One

Jodi asked

Were there only six? Somehow I thought there were more. I wonder if they all got a field rented for them to hunt for their birthday?

There were nine pups, but I only got six pictures.  I am very grateful for any puppy pictures I receive!  🙂

I think a few pups actually got to go hunting.  Waterfowl was still open.  🙂  I know a couple got cakes baked for them.  Maybe Freighter is feeling gypped.  I don’t bake.  😆

raisingdaisy asked whether Billy was napping in his bowl.  That would be funny, but it was his brother Rex’s bed.  Unfortunately for Billy, Rex is much smaller.

Wordless Wednesday–The Retrieve

I hope you enjoyed the picture.  That picture is as it came out of the camera.  I only put a watermark on it but it has no further processing.  I thought it was neat.  Trust me if I tried, I could not get that effect.  🙂  I am shopping for a new camera.  I hope to find something faster that I can afford.  My head is spinning.

I have a few other pictures from the hunt that I hope to eventually share, like this picture of Freighter after he got his first bird.

  1. Thanks for participating!! Storm really is channeling her inner Delilah. LOL I don’t normally bake for the dogs either, but I will buy them a baked treat for their birthday. I love baking but I want it to be for me! Still I think renting a field for hunting is an awesome gift!

My camera sucks, Hubby just said so the other night, but right now there is no money in the budget so we will have to make do. 🙂 Let me know what you find though, I can start saving.

    Have a great weekend!!

    1. I am looking at dslr, but entry level. I want something faster. My point and shoot is so slow. There is a lot to learn. I don’t want to buy something too complicated…lol. There are three I am going back and forth between. Who knows? I may never decide!

  2. I especially love that picture of Freighter after his first bird and the one of Billy in his bed. What a difference in size between those two dogs! LOL Have a great weekend!

  3. Billy in his bed had us chuckling away. Freighter after his first bird looks well pleased. Have a fabulous Friday.
    Best wishes Molly

  4. I just bought a new camera. I know what you mean about the spinning head. So many choices. SO MANY! I haven’t had time to even get the thing out of the box yet, but I touch it every day and tell it how much I love it.

    1. I am thinking about getting my first dslr. I need something faster. I am told any entry level will be faster than my point and shoot. I go back and forth because there is so much to learn. I don’t want a super expensive one because I don’t want to have to wig out of it isn’t attached to me. 🙂

      1. My new one is a DSLR. If I can get all my projects finished today, I get to play with it. I spent weeks reading reviews before I settled on one. There are some that are as slow as a point and shoot. I hope you find a good one for the right price. It pays to shop around!

        1. Not as slow as my point and shoot (.7 fps). No wonder I could never get the shots I wanted….lol.

Which one did you get? I’d love to hear how you like it.

  5. So Storm is coming over to the dark side, is she? Welcome to Labhood. My peoples don’t bake for me either. The nerve of them! Good picture of Freighter. He looks pleased with himself for getting his first bird. 🙂

  6. Great follow up! I sooooo love the picture of Storm peaking out! All great pics! I hope this hasn’t posted twice but I seem to be having trouble this morning. grrrrr!

    1. I think the blog or wordpress itself has been acting a bit wonky lately. For some reason one of your comments went into spam.

  7. Storm looks beautiful in the first picture! You know, I have a crazy alarm clock too that drives the humans up the walls. I have always been fed twice a day, at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Recently, I have been walking up between 4:30 a.m.-5:30 a.m. and harassing the humans. Usually, they don’t wake up till 5:45 a.m. so that’s pretty darn early! Oh well, a pug’s got to play!:)

How early have you been waking them up?

  8. I hope all the pups have a great birthday!! 🙂

    Big wags,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂
