Saturday we took Freighter on a long walk in an attempt to tire him out. We ended up at the river which was beautiful with the new fallen snow.
Freighter wanted to go for a swim.
And then he spotted the mischief…
Someone had nailed their shoes to a tree.

Beautiful photos and Freighter holds himself so straight and upright!! Really proud looking!! We haven’t had any snow here yet but plenty of rain unfortunately meaning plenty of dirty walks for Rudy and Rio!!!
We are supposed to get some rain too. I think that snow will melt the next couple of days.

Know why on earth wold someone nail their shoes to a tree? Lol! Freighter looks gorgeous in the snow! Wish all this rain we are getting was snow!
Wonderful pictures! It feels like December now, though we’re having 20 degree higher than average temperatures. More snow, please!
We are supposed to get warm weather and maybe freezing rain this weekend. yuck
The temperature dropped 20 degrees in about an hour last night. NOW it feels like Christmas.

Oh wow! You got more snow? We just got freezing rain and today it’s just rain. 🙁 The pictures you got on your walk are beautiful. Had to laugh at the shoe tree! It sounds like we did the same thing on the weekend, trying to wear the boys out! lol
I love the photos, Delilah would have wanted to swim as well, she just can’t deny the draw of the water. 😉
The river is wide right there. We did not want to risk Freighter getting limp tail and it was a long walk home…so not swimming. He doesn’t have much fat on him yet to keep him warm.

We figured the water was pretty cold and we did not want to risk Freighter getting limp tail…lol.
That’s one fine river! I love rivers. I’ve never seen shoes in trees like that before. Humans do some strange things. But I guess wearing shoes to begin with is kind of strange.
It is strange. We weren’t sure what to make of it. lol
Such beautiful pictures, we have not yet seem snow. Looks like a fabulous walk with freighter through the wintery scenery. Can’t wait to see more pictures 🙂
