Next Thursday Freighter is scheduled for his surgery to remove a small dewclaw. I wanted to get a few pictures of him before he has a bandage on. (I assume there will be bandaging.) The light was not the greatest so I put a little tone on this picture.
I am still trying to decide on a new DSLR camera, so if anyone uses one they like, I’d love to hear about it. Remember, I am a novice. 🙂
You might notice a new tag on Freighter’s collar. He lost the one that looked like a bone. The rings they supply are so flimsy, somehow it got stretched. I bought him one that looks like a dog-tag and is cammoed. They have a lot of nice tags to choose from these days.
The snow around the cabin was melting fast last weekend, but they are supposed to get a storm overnight tonight. It doesn’t sound to be as bad as the one moving over the Plains, but they are predicting 1-3 inches. The brown dawgs will be happy if their snow doesn’t disappear. (Doubt they will figure out that it is new snow. :))

The Freighter is looking like such a big boy dog. He is looking mature 🙁 they grow so fast. I like his new tag too. Funny how these goofy dogs LOVE the snow. Ginger is a roller the minute she hits the snow and Gayge scoops up big mouth fulls as he runs by. They all like to catch snowballs and bark when we shovel. Hope you all have a Very Merry CHristmas and ROOO ROOO from the 4 G’s.

I LOVE my Samsung camera and it has built in Wi-Fi so I can send pictures straight from the camera.
Ooo a white Christmas at the cabin sounds utterly charming! I hope Freighter’s surgery goes well, we’ll keep our fingers and paws crossed for him.
I have a Nikon D3000, always use it in the auto mode, still gotta mess with it, but is a hell of a camera, I really like it.
Sure hope you all have a blast in that snow! Paws crossed for Freighter!

I am so amazed at how grown up Freighter is these days, sitting perfectly for Mom’s picture. He has grown into such a handsome boy! Hope you don’t have a lot of trouble with him leaving the surgery alone to heal. We’re suppose to get some of that snow, but probably less than an inch. The girls are really wanting some to run and play. We’ve got strong winds and rain now:(
