These pictures are from training last Sunday. I shared them on the brown dawgs’ facebook page but I know not everyone reads facebook and I really like them so I am also posting them here.
I also got some pictures that are not of the dawgs.
I believe this is a young Red Tailed Hawk:
When I said there were no bugs this past weekend, that wasn’t entirely true. There were a lot of butterflies. Many didn’t stay in one place long enough for me to snap a picture, but a couple did.
Thunder and Storm are entered in a Masters test which starts tomorrow. Hopefully Storm will keep her fanny to the ground and Thunder will follow direction for the blinds. This will probably be Thunder’s last test because we plan to retire him from testing. He will still train, but we just won’t enter him in tests. Of course hunting season will be starting soon and that is his favorite thing to do anyway.
Thanks to everyone who joins the hop. Since this is our club’s hunt test, we will be helping out at the test which means that I will pretty busy for a couple of days. I may be a little late stopping by to say “hi” to everyone who joins the hop, but I will stop by eventually. 🙂

Beautiful pictures, great shots of the butterflies. Good luck this weekend. How many MH passes does Thunder have? Is Frieghter running this weekend too?
Thunder has one Master pass so he needs four more. There is no way he will finish this summer and he will be 8 next year, so it is time.

Good luck on the test tomorrow. How do you think Thunder will feel retiring? Will he still go with you to tests and just sit out or will he stay at home?
He won’t be happy, but we will train him, just not push it too much.

Awesome nature pics! We have a few of those hawks here but I don’t have a camera good enough to get shots like that. I love the photo of Frieghter’s launch too. “Up, up, and away!”
