No not the brown dawgs. You can put anything in front of them and they will inhale it.
Nestle the cat is a very picky eater.
Nestle always has a bowl of dry kibble available. Twice a day she gets a couple of tablespoons of wet food. She won’t eat treats or people food, except for yellow American cheese. Don’t offer white or any other kind of cheese. She won’t eat it. That’s it. All she ever eats. For all of her kitty life. I can vary the wet food a bit as long as it is a variety of one particular brand which is also the same brand of dry food she eats. And it has to be ground. She will eat hard kibble, but no chunky wet food for her. Picky right?
Over the years I have tried various foods, but usually she won’t eat them.
When chewy.com offered some samples of Natural Balance Platefulls to try, I jumped at the chance.
This food is made in the USA and is grain-free with no artificial colors. It is a healthier alternative to her regular food which I don’t think is all that healthy. Chewy.com sent us the Chicken & Salmon flavor to try.
The big question is would she eat it?
Nestle was a bit hesitant at first, but by the second feeding she was tapping her foot while I was getting it ready. She loved the food. That is saying a lot. Those of you with picky eaters might want to try this food.
I had two issues: it came in a pouch and it was chunky. No big deal to break it up because that was easy enough to do. At first I thought the pouch would be easier to manage than a can, however, we get 3 or 4 servings out of one pouch and I had to get a small chip clip to keep it closed so I could store it in the fridge. Not a deal breaker, but it is more difficult to store than a can.
Nestle liked it enough so I plan to try more flavors. The only problem is that chewy.com sells it as a case (same for all their canned cat foods). I understand why they sell it by the case, but it is way too much food for me to purchase at one time. I may buy 10 cans and that lasts me a month. I like to mix flavors so buying a case of anything is not something that is practical for me. However, those of you with multiple cats may find this an economical option.
Chewy.com is sponsoring a giveaway. It is called the Faces Of Chewy: End Of Summer Giveaway.
I am providing a link to the giveaway. They are offering great prizes and several ways to enter. But hurry! Entries close at the end of the month. Remember this giveaway is sponsored by chewy.com and I have no control over it.
Thanks so much to chewy.com for providing me the samples to review and for the giveaway!
Note: I received the samples of Natural Balance Platefulls free of charge, but the opinions expressed are my own.
