Hunt tests require the dogs to be proficient on both land and water.

The brown dawgs spend a lot of time running…

and swimming.

They love to work.  Except maybe Storm could do without swimming for bumpers in cold water.  🙂

Running and swimming helps to keep the brown dawgs healthy and fit.

We are joining the Fit Dog Friday blog hop hosted by Slimdoggy, Peggy’s Pet Place, To Dog with Love.

Have a nice weekend!

  1. Hi Y’all!

Cold water is refreshing in this part of the country. Guess it’s a different kind of cold water up north. More like a dip in ice water?

    Y”all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  2. Two great activities to keep your dog healthy & strong. I don’t blame Storm for not wanting to swim in the cold water….brrr. Thanks for joining the Hop!

  3. Running and swimming are two of our favourite activities to do too – both in summer and winter! Love how swimming is low impact giving a great workout without stressing the joints! Agree with Storm though – I can forgo the cold water in winter too 🙂

  4. It’s fun to watch pups like you run and swim in any weather! And we know how much training it takes for these tests–Our friends’s Golden is doing her WCX this weekend, paws crossed for her… I hope you have a good weekend too!.

    1. Oh I hope you will come back and let me know hoe your friend’s Golden does. Best of luck to them!

  5. Wonder why Thunder doesn’t like cold water? Even I don’t mind it a bit. All your training definitely keeps the pups fit!

    1. No not Thunder. It is Storm. She only likes it if she is fetching a duck. For training she can pass. 🙂

  6. That is such great exercise for them, and they seem to enjoy it so much (other than Storm in the cold water)!

  7. Sounds and looks like fun but we are with Storm, we would rather have all that fun in warm water. Great pictures! Hugs and nose kisses
