We had showers for the first part of training this past Saturday.  The dogs were doing some water training, so I guess it was fitting that the dogs weren’t the only ones getting wet.  I took the next two pictures with my waterproof camera.  It did pretty well in the rain and I will have some of those pictures tomorrow.

Finally the showers let up enough that I could put the waterproof camera away and get out my DSLR camera.

Of course all that rain meant puddles.

Do you avoid the puddles or plow right through them?

  1. Loved the story and pictures. Looks like they both had much fun.

  2. I love the puddles! My sister Gracie the Bull Terrier though acts like she’ll melt in water – silly dog 🙂

  3. In our yard there is no avoiding the mud when it rains. So, I just put on my boots and don’t worry about it.

As for the dogs, Prissy Miss Shadow doesn’t like getting dirty, so she goes around the mud as best she can. Callie doesn’t actively seek it out, but she won’t change course to avoid it either. And then there’s Ducky! I think that if she stopped long enough to think about it, like a young child would, she would run and take a flying leap right into the middle of it! BOL

  4. We go straight into them, no worries. Peeps on the other hand wishes that was not the case. Have a marvellous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  5. Easy loves puddles and dirt, but he isn’t a fan of rain. I’m always glead he hasn’t a thick or long coat, that would be awful. Have a super monday!

  6. Mine love the puddles! Although, instead of running through them they would just lie in them. Looks like everyone had fun!

  7. Our three fluffy dogs LOVE puddles and love getting muddy, and of course the short coated one who would be easiest to clean off is prissy and would never dream of stepping in a puddle lol

  8. Looks like our area last week when we got over 5 inches of rain. Luckily it has been windy and dried out a bit! Us dogs didn’t mind the puddles, but Mom was less than thrilled.

  9. That looks like so much fun, Storm and Freighter! Our dog cousins kind of like plowing right through puddles, too. 🙂

  10. The more mud the merrier. We need some nice weather, hopefully this weekend will be nice, I hate to have to sit outside for a seminar and have it be cold.

  11. Personally I love puddles. I will go right through them! When my kids were little and it rained, we would go outside and stomp in puddles. I don’t know what it is about puddles that I love, but I do!

  12. Haha! Of course they headed for the puddles and the mud! I use to try and stay clear of puddles but it really doesn’t matter anymore because either way I’m going to get wet if Sherman and Leroy are near by!!

  13. Your captures of the splashing puddles are superb! Those puddles and the mud didn’t slow them a bit. 🙂 Hugs and nose kisses
