Freighter was so excited to get in the field to hunt for birds. He has an excellent nose but there are times he moves so fast that he passes over the birds without smelling them. As he gains experience, he is learning to stop from time to time, nose in the air, working the wind to catch the scent of a bird.
Bailie is always in a rush with tracking and almost always runs past the turn and has to come back. Youthful excitement.

Looks like he loves being out there. (Rita must have some hunter in her – I’ve seen her stop and sniff the air… especially a few years ago when there was a bunch of dead gophers at the dog park!)
