Sometimes before I put Thunder and Storm in their kennels for the day, we have a little game of fetch the kong so that they can release some energy.
The only problem is that Thunder never gets the kong.
Even if he gets to it first.
Storm always steals it.
And he lets her.
Try it again Thunder.
Looks like Thunder will finally get it.
Once again Storm steals it away.
And Thunder lets her.
Now some dogs might fight her over the kong. Not Thunder. I would say he is the ideal big brother.
Last week I posted pictures of two pets who urgently needed to find new homes.
Thank you to everyone who shared their pictures. I didn’t have many details, but you shared their pictures anyway because they needed help.
The good news is that it looks like both found their new homes.
Boo Boo and Binx’s owner is very ill and I am sure it is a great relief for her to know they will be taken care of. Their situation is a good reminder to think about making plans for our own pets should we find ourselves in a similar situation.
This is the Thursday Bark And Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like A Dog.
The Barks And Bytes hop is open for all topics; however, Jodi and I ask that if you want to participate in the hop, you either share the linky list, or link back to one of our blogs.
Thunder is one kind and laid back dude. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
Seems that Thunder is a real Gentledog :o) and I’m sure Storm knows and enjoys it :o) I’m glad that Boo Boo and Binx found a new home. It’s the worst when you are ill and you as well have to worry about your pets.
Hi Y’all!
What a good big brother!
Y’all come on by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
I agree – the perfect big brother, letting his little sister be the winner. So sweet.
That’s how it is for Charlie and Orso. Even though Orso is bigger, he always lets Charlie take it from him.
Poor Thunder. Storm isn’t very nice. And that tiny dog? Aw man. I’m glad it found a new home, or I’d have to drive over and get it.
Glad they found new homes!! I recently heard that some parrots can live for 80-90 years… definitely got to have forward planning for that. A pet parrot can still be alive and I’ll be long dead!
Some sisters can be so bossy! Cricket is the bossy one in our household, but Luke doesn’t always give in to her right away.
So glad to hear the good news for those two cuties!
Wow…Thunder really is a good brother and a gentleman! I am glad those two little ones found their forever homes!

I love happy news!
I guess it is bittersweet news now. Their owner passed away yesterday. I am glad they found new homes just in time.
Our Abby is like your Thunder…she may reach the toy first, but lets the others steal it away from her. We have to occasionally play with her alone, just so she gets a turn.
Knowing Storm’s love of the Kong I was wondering how that little game was going to play out. 🙂
Glad to hear that BooBoo and Binx found homes. I always worry about who would care for my pets if something were to happen to both of us.
Sisters can indeed be bossy! 🙂 I’m so glad the little darlings who needed homes found them. So sad their owner can’t care for them any longer. 🙁 I hope everyone will be alright and that they settle in to their new homes nicely.
Their owner passed away yesterday so they found a spot just in time.
Great pictures it always works that way with two pets I think. And thanks for the reminder about taking care of our pets if something happens, our family just grew 3-fold because their mom’s died. Love Dolly
Maybe the fun part is just running to the toy? 🙂 Such a good boy to share with his sister. The pictures say it all!
Mica seems to have more fun with the challenge of getting the toy than having it. She use to turn it over to Lex. Now Aspen winds up with it:)
What a gentleman, letting Storm have the kong!
I haven’t had much time to read ANYTHING since Callie had her ACL surgery a few weeks ago. Now I’m trying to catch-up, at least a little bit. Glad those furry babies have found a new home!!
That’s pretty cute the way that Thunder and Storm play together. Great photos!
Looks like a lot of fun long action. Glad those animals got a home.
At our house, the only thing we ever fight over is mom. I get real possessive. I used to get mad at Katie for taking too much time with her, but now I get mad at Bailie instead. Toys we could care less.
It looks to us like Thunder enjoys letting her have the Kong and likes the game just as it is. Love the pictures as always. Hugs and nose kisses
