Super Bowl Sunday brought us a nice big snow.  It started snowing and just kept on snowing…all day long.  Then the wind started to blow and blew the snow around…all day long.  I am not sure exactly how much we got, but some drifts are at least a foot deep, if not deeper.  I imagine many Super Bowl parties were sparsely attended.  It was a good day to stay inside your nice cozy house.

Of course when you have dogs, forget hunkering down inside.  Our dogs love snow.  No way were they missing out on their fun!

We got out late morning with the waterproof camera to snap some photos.  As you can see, it was really coming down but I thought the camera did a decent job in tough conditions.

  1. that was a super superbowl! and even with snow! if we had groundhogs here this guy couldn’t see his shadow today… that means it’s still time for thick boots and a blankie, huh?

  2. Wow the dogs sure look like they had fun and we have our paws crossed for you for an early Spring. Have a marvellous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  3. I love seeing dogs play in the snow! Well your wonderful snow has degenerated into a sloppy rain here that will ice up tonight (oh joy!), although NYC is getting snow and northern NJ got 7 inches last night! We were robbed!! 😉

  4. We got out in the storm yesterday too. We didn’t get that much wind just snow. It’s still snowing this morning!

    I’m ready for Spring.

  5. you probably got about a foot like we did. Poor Dakota was buried and wouldn’t poop. My husband had to take him to the plowed driveway so he could do his business. Poor little guy! Stay warm!

  6. Loved the knowing look of Storm, get it out! Cullen and Macha both were/are very capable of that wise old sideways look. Anticipation and joy! Erynn is tracking squirrels in the yard, becoming her own little shovel nose. Yesterday they both came inside wearing new white fur coats. Quite sunny today, so it has been in and out all morning. Hope all Chessies have a chance for big time fun!

  7. The snow definitely gives new meaning to “going deep” for the pass! Looks like they had a blast! Hope they got to join in some super bowl snacks too! Gotta replace those calories they burned. 🙂

  8. We are about to get another blizzard as well!

Chase is the same way, snowstorms = fun!

I think it is safe to say, we will all have at least 6 more weeks of winter!

  9. Many wags to you guys for being brave enough to play around in the snow! I have a really tough time getting into it at all… in fact the only thing I like to “get into” when there is snow about is… the house! Yes, I am convinced based on my scientific investigation that we will have 6 more weeks of winter. Come check out my latest post to see what I’m talking about! *wags* – Gilligan from WagsAhoy.com

  10. That @%$&(&$! groundhog! Did you see the groundhog that bit the mayor? I laughed myself silly over that. I’d bite you too if you woke me up from hibernation. 🙂

Glad Storm got her Kong, Sampson will sometimes run with his in the house, but never outside. it makes me laugh because he usually drops it and then it bounces while he’s trying to catch it.

  11. When have we ever NOT had 6 more weeks of winter? LOL. We got your storm on Monday, but we probably only got 6-8 inches or so. There’s no staying inside for us when it’s snowing either, the dogs have to play in it. Which is OK with me, but I wish it wasn’t quite so cold! We have to limit our time out there….it didn’t even reach 10 degrees that day (today was a bit better).
