Last Saturday was Thunder’s 9th Birthday. He had an early birthday party with Storm and Freighter because on Saturday we went to group training. Hunt test season will be here before we know it, so it is time to get back in the swing of regular training.
In honor of his birthday, Thunder brought some tasty donuts for the humans at training.
Thunder is retired from testing so he usually just gets a couple of fun bumpers while we are there. Since it was his birthday, he got to run a set of marks.
Next to hunting, Thunder’s favorite thing is to run marks. (A mark is where the dog watches a bumper or bird being thrown and then is sent to retrieve it.)
Thunder ran a set of three single marks, (more on the exact set-up on Friday’s post). He was a bit rusty, but he had a lot of fun!

That was a super fun way to spend a 9th birthday and how thoughtful to have brought doughnuts! YUM!
