Thunder and Storm love to play fetch in the yard.  Unlike Freighter, they figured out at a pretty young age that if they bring the toy back, they get to retrieve it again.  However, if you do not toss it fast enough, they are liable to drop it on your foot or push the dirty toy against your leg just to make sure you are paying attention.

The only problem is that Storm usually ends up with the toys.  Usually but not always.

  1. I would like to play fetch with you! Is Thunder generous and gives it to Storm, because she is a girl or is that a game without any “girl-advance” ?

  2. Such fun! Which way will it bounce? Can we snag it mid-air? How can I steal it away? Pitch it my way!

  3. They sure are having fun! I especially love the happy and expectant looks on their faces when they are waiting for the toy to be thrown again. Cricket actually barks at me if I don’t throw it fast enough.

  4. I love how they are competing for it. Mine are not big retrievers, although they do okay in the house for a few minutes. But when I try and engage them in fetch outside, they are usually only good for one or two retrieves.
