I cannot believe it has been 8 weeks since the Thunder x Glory pups were born.  They will start heading home today.  Glory and Thunder sure made some adorable pups.  It has been a joy watching them as they grow thanks to all of the pictures and posts their breeder JoAnn of Sand Spring Chesapeakes has shared.  JoAnn has done an excellent job of preparing the pups for their lives and their new homes.  They have had wings and birds and even been swimming.  What more could pups that aspire to become hunting dawgs ask for?

So as the little pups leave the nest we wish them and their people a happy long life together.  Daddy Thunder says to make him proud!

All of the photos on this post are courtesy of Sand Spring Chesapeakes and belong to them.  Thanks JoAnn for allowing me to share them.  They are just wonderful.

Have a nice weekend!

  1. I agree with you, JoAnn is one of the best breeders, that was great what she did for the little brown dawgs :o) Congrats to Thunder again, that was one of that pawfect matches some breeders wait a lifetime. Thanks to you and to JoAnne, 9 fabulous pups will discover the world now and I’m sure they bring joy and happiness to their people :o)

  2. Thank you Linda for a great send off post! I love that picture of little yellow and Glory, she was my favorite just as she was yours. I still can’t thank you enough for all that you did for this breeding. What a wonderful experience it has been and I am so thankful I have little orangie to raise and see how she turns out. xoxoxoxo Hugs to Thunder he did fabulous!

    1. Thunder sure enjoyed himself. 🙂 Are we ever going to find out orange’s name?

  3. They are such beautiful puppies, I hope their new owners understand the importance of providing us with pictures. 😉

  4. Beautiful pups! It looks like you did everything right to get those pupsters off to a great start. The pictures were fun to see from the beginning to end.

  5. Feathers and grass, a Chessie combo. Personality plus. Happy lives to the pups and their new owners! Everyone have a safe Labor Day, may there be swims for all!

  6. I’ve also been following the adorable pups, and also wish them the very best in their new fur-ever homes. I’m sure they’ll all be scooped up and welcomed in with open arms!

  7. Sorry. I just have to say, “SQUEEEEEE!!!” There. I feel better…

  8. JoAnn really did wonderful with them, some lucky people are getting pretty awesome puppies, with the best parents! It has been so fun to follow this, and it sure did go by fast, didn’t it?

  9. Y’all had the prettiest puppies in the world! I am not the least bit prejudice either! LOL! The time flew by for me, but I was just enjoying the pictures not wrangling them! ♥

  10. Thunder and Glory made such beautiful little Chessies. They were a joy to watch grow and Thunder should be proud 🙂

  11. So completely adorable!!! Its been fun to watch them grow over the last 8 weeks and it doesn’t seem like its even been close to that long. This summer has really flown by.

  12. I have enjoyed every photo, too! It is hard to believe those cuties were born 8 weeks ago! And even harder to believe how big they are already! Even my Callie wasn’t that tall at 8 weeks, and she was the (first and) tallest of her litter. God Speed GloriousThunder puppies!!

  13. They’re absolutely adorable! I seem to remember Freighter being that small once upon a time… 😉 They have grown fast, though – they’re probably bigger than Daisy already! We wish them wonderful lives with their new families.
