Last weekend it was too hot to spend much time outside so we took the dogs to the park for some training and to cool off.  This is the first time I have been out with them training since my surgery in July.

I positioned myself at the edge of the pond so I could throw bumpers and take pictures.  We were throwing water doubles, or two bumpers at a time, for them.  Being right on the edge of the pond, I was in a good position to get some decent pictures.

It was a bright sunny day but it was early morning, so the sun was behind me.  I did not have to contend with too much glare.  I like most of the pictures I took that day.  Here is a small sample.

Thunder was up first.  At 9 1/2 he still loves to retrieve water marks.

Next up was Storm.  Storm was 8 in June.  She is fit and loves to get out and work.

Last but not least, Freighter.  It is hard to get decent pictures of him because he is extremely fast.  By the time you catch him, he has whizzed by.

  1. I LOVE the photos–especially the ones of Storm with the reflections. They came out great. Glad you were able to get back out to training 🙂

  2. Those pictures are AMAZING, great job. I love all of them especially the ones were you can see their reflections in the water.

  3. What terrific photos, you did a great job of catching them in action. You can see how much they love that launch into the water. I love the one of Thunder that looks like he is underwater!?

  4. I’m so glad you’re able to get back out there with the brown dawgs again! I bet they were happy about it, too!!

  5. And, definitely GREAT photos! It’s impossible to pick a favorite!

  6. I’m so happy for you that you were finally able to get back out there! You really got some great shots!

  7. Love these photos. 🙂 Somehow I missed that you had surgery. I’m glad you’re feeling up to getting out with the dogs.

  8. We now have a pond, but it won’t be dog ready until next year although the dogs are very curious about it and Scout has been tempted to take a dip. I’m so excited.

The pictures are great! Makes me want to break the rules and let Scout take a dip.
