While out walking in the forest last weekend, the brown dawgs went off road and came across a downed tree.

Downed trees are a great find because they allow the dogs to exercise those back legs and have a little fun at the same time.

While out grouse hunting, the brown dawgs often encounter obstacles they must jump over, so this was good preparation.  Now if only the weather would cool off so they can actually get out and hunt.

Have a nice weekend!

  1. I take the same fit dog leaping opportunity whenever we come across a downed tree! Sometimes the right tree makes it so we can practice “over” and “under” too.

  2. Chessie steeplechase, and yes these are agile dogs running a natural course! Cool weather is going to arrive before we know it!

  3. That’s the kind of exercise we used to like Daisy to do for her leg muscles, but now there will be no more jumping for her. It’s so good to see dogs having so much fun! 🙂

  4. Those are some good jumps! We are practicing going over downed trees as well in preparation for an upcoming backpacking trip. Looking good!

  5. We are all for coming across (literally!) natural obstacles while out walking/hiking with the pups! It’s great for exercise AND fun, too!
