Storm thinks all toys belong to her.  The black kongs belong to her.  The stuffed toys belong to her.  The red bone most definitely belongs to her.

  1. Wow! Such a fun day battling over the Red Bone! I bet that was some great exercise running through all that snow. Love the leaping Chessie photo! BOL

  2. Storm, we are glad you got the red bone back. That does look like a great bone. You earned that bone. You all have a great day.

  3. Goes to show you that nothing can stop a woman when she is determined 🙂 Dakota’s favorite toy is the least expensive of the TONS that he has. He has a plush, red, white and blue ball (that needs to be thrown out, but I don’t dare), that I bought probably about 4 or 5 years ago at the DOLLAR STORE. Yep, you read that right. He carries it EVERY DAY and will frantically look for it if he can’t find it. It is a mess, but it’s HIS and he LOVES it. Hence the reason why I won’t throw it away. DakotasDen

  4. Haha, nice pictures of the battle for the toy, especially the one of Storm leaping!! My boy Buzz’s all-time favorite toy is his chuck-it ball. Missy is not into toys too much, she’ll just occasionally carry a squeaky toy through the house and then drop it somewhere.

  5. At least they don’t fight over the toys! I’ve lost count of the number of times Ducky has tried to start an argument with Shadow over a toy in the last 3+ years.
Thankfully, Shadow has mellowed out over the last year or so and just walks away most times. And Ducky’s bratitude has mellowed considerably as well. Although there are times when I’ve caught her getting ready to pounce and I stop her with a firm “Don’t you dare!” My tone stops her in her tracks. And if Shadow walks away without the toy, I let Ducky get it. If not, I give her a different toy and keep an eye on her just in case.

  6. The girls are bossy, aren’t they? Luke tries to keep toys away from his sisters but ultimately he usually gives in to them. It looks like Thunder gave Storm a good workout though!

  7. Our dogs have favorite kinds of toys. In our house Rodrigo is the one who believes all toys belong to him. Scout has toys that he loves and he’ll bark and bark if one of the other dogs has one of his toys. There are many duplicates in our home, because of our dogs.

    I’m an enabler.

  8. wow Storm that was a leap! I’m impressed :o) I have no favorite toy…. they mostly live not long enough that we could be friends :o) but maybe once my mom will find one what stays with me for more than some minutes :o)

  9. Macha had never been huge on toys, unless they float or can be drowned, but they must provide interaction! Cullen was the toy mister, mostly stuffed and all had names and they were his companions in his kennel, which became a toy corral! They were washed, hung out to dry in the sun; he would be there waiting for them to be unpinned. Few soft toys survive with Erynn! Nor do Kongs ~ needle teeth! Just a plain bone or ball works.
At Camp Lee there is a old 7″ hard red ball ~ the toy of four generations of Chessies! It’ bears the teeth marks of our first girl Coco and each dog since. A bit tired, it finally has been minutely
pierced, half-floats and has to be drained. Wish there were more! It has lasted 21 years!
