I think Freighter has a serious case of Third Child Syndrome.

Let me explain.

A couple weeks back I shared a picture of Freighter’s Championship Certificate and a plaque he earned for his Senior Hunter title, here.  Jan K from Wag ‘n Woof Pets asked: “Do you have one special place you put all the awards and plaques?”

Yes we have a room where we keep a couple of crates for the dogs and we have their hunt test ribbons, pictures and certificates on the walls.

We also have Thunder’s show ribbons mounted on a couple of boards.

Notice something missing?

Yep Freighter does not have his own wall.  As the third child we ran out of room so his ribbons, plaques and certificates are all kept here.

Definitely a case of Third Child Syndrome.

  1. Bailie has a bit of that syndrome too. We have so many photos of Katie and me, but it has taken time to get some good ones of Bailie around the house. Now she has to get some more titles so we can add those to the ones of mine on the wall. She does at least have wall space!

  2. Oh I hope you will find a place for Freighters trophies :o) I can offer you my wall. I prepared it carefull for Easy’s stuff, but now after 6 years there is only one certificate on that wall… lonesome like a spider in a cellar lol

  3. Oh no, poor Freighter! Thanks for sharing that great room…maybe you need to start another room? 🙂

  4. I think Teutul had that 3rd child syndrome going on… and although he is now the eldest of 3, he’s still holding a grudge and thinks he’s the “baby” BOL

  5. Aw, that does happen sometimes but at least Freighter will never ask you why he doesn’t have a wall, lol!

  6. LOL it’s like the first kid. You wash them constantly, watch everything that goes into their mouths, sterilize their pacifier when it drops on the ground. The second one, meh. You pick up the pacy, wipe it on your pants and stuff it back in their mouth.

I think in general there is just less time for some things when you have more responsibility. Maybe there is a spot at the cabin for them. 🙂
