The temperatures heated up over the weekend and that had our Chesapeakes cooling off.

They don’t need anything fancy.  Just a pond and something to retrieve.

Thunder was first.  Seniority has its benefits.

Next up was Storm.  She is not one to leap into the pond, but she still made a splash.

Last but not least-Freighter.  He likes to get some air before the big splash.

How do your dogs cool off?

  1. I love this photos… I can nearly hear the splash! in my imagination :o) Easy prefers the cool tiles on the floor, he still avoids anything water :o)

  2. Whoa! Great splashes! I don’t like the water, nope. And much of the fresh water here is not particularly safe to jump into (snakes, alligators) so I just stay in the air conditioning

  3. Great shots! Rita loves to cool off in the water – but she would never leap in with abandon. She’s a cautious girl – she likes to tiptoe in and then dunk her belly. So cute.

  4. Yahoo! We love the splash down photos! We just have our kiddie pool right now, but hope to visit the pond not far from here soon (our own pond is still coming, but probably not until next year).

  5. Sometimes it is just being where there is a breeze and something soft! Of course their favorite is water, and they do not even need a retrieve. Macha loves to just swim while Erynn has a favorite ball she shoves under the water and waits for it to pop up. Macha also loves to dive under water, wonder what she sees?
Of course if desperate, the sprinkler works!
Always fun to see the personal style of water entries!

  6. Mica likes to get cold drinks from the hose, lay inside by the A/C. She really likes the creek but we haven’t been able to get down there lately. Aspen loves any water – hose, small pool, Creek. If all else fails he likes to come in and lay on the cold tile:) Love those splashes

  7. One of our ponds is too deep for the dogs to really have some fun in; Scout swims, but the others just like to walk around. The other pond has fish and ducklings so we’re keeping the dogs away until the baby ducks grow up. So we’ll be breaking out the kiddy pool this summer and there’s always the koi pond. I think the fish love it when the dogs join them.

  8. Haha, love your water shots! The pups have their puppy pools & also like to play with the sprinkler attachment of our garden hose 😉
