Things have been quiet around our house, at least as far as the brown dawgs have been concerned.  Spending time at the hospital with hubby left little time to do anything fun with them.  Now that hubby is home, I still need to help him out so again, there is not much time for the brown dawgs.  For dogs that are used to being the center of attention and active, it has been quite a change for them.  However, even when time is at a premium, all I have to do is get out the trusty Kong and all is right with the world, at least as far as Storm is concerned.

There Is Always Time To Play With A Kong

If you are a regular reader of the blog, you know that Storm’s favorite toy in the whole wide world is her Kong.  She values it above all other toys.  So last weekend Thunder and Storm got out to have a little fun in the yard.

Storm is lucky that Thunder is so good natured and doesn’t mind if she hogs the Kong.

Do your pups have a favorite toy?

  1. I have Bunny, and Bailie has her squeaky ball. Bailie likes her Kongs when there is something to eat in them.

  2. It’s good to see the brown dawgs are getting out to have some fun! It’s all about balls around here, and Cricket was the queen until her arthritis got her down. She always hogged the ball and the other two also accepted that. Now that she’s not playing much, they each like to have their own ball!
Glad to hear that your hubby is home recovering!

  3. Those are certainly happy pups!! 😀 Daisy’s favorites are her soft toys. She cuddles with them, chases them, shakes them, chews them – you name it. Her two favorites are her zebra with the squeaky nose and Wango, a name we gave to an indescribable flopsy toy a friend of DD’s gave her. 🙂

  4. Thunder is such a gentleman. I guess we girls have a way of usually getting what we want, haha! Best wishes and good thoughts for your hubby’s recovery.

  5. That’s good that the Kong can help exercise the dogs. Rita’s funny – she doesn’t really like to play fetch/catch that much, so if we miss our walk for some reason, it’s really hard to get her exercise in. But, when she does play for a little bit, her fave toy is the Wubba!

Hope hubby’s recovery is going well!

  6. OMG I feel AWFUL!! I often thought of you and kept wondering if you were blogging! I think when your blog was re-designed, it stopped coming! I just re-subscribed and I am BEYOND SORRY I wasn’t around, I never unsubscribed!

    1. I had an issue with Jetpack and so I had to use a different subscription service. It is a PITA but unless I hire out to have it fixed or can take tome to figure it out myself, I am stuck with it. Thanks for resubscribing. 🙂

  7. Well the Kong is probably Delilah’s favorite too, but that is because it comes to her stuffed with pineapple every night. 🙂

We do have one toy I got at the BlogPaws conference, it is made by Pet Safe. It was a bumble bee and I ended up buying the same toy in the Panda shape. They really loved that toy.

  8. I love that they play with the Kong. Barley loves her Kong and will go get it if I tell her to find it–but she’s only interested in it if there’s something inside to eat 🙂 Her favorite toy is a long green dog we named Cosmo that was her very first toy. Hope the recovery is going well and the dogs can resume their position at the center of attention soon!

  9. My Golden is the same. I try to take him outside when I feel like I need to drain some energy out of him. But I’ll be damned if I’m not the one who gets tired out before him lol.
