The 2 brown dawgs are snoozing, but they had a busy weekend and each earned a title. That’s right, Storm is a new Senior Hunter! Instead of JH after her name, she can now use SH! Thanks to Darrin for training and handling our girl to her title. It was horribly hot and humid on Saturday and we heard that it was a challenging test, so we are very excited that Darrin was able to finish her title. She was entered on Sunday and we could have run her for fun, but since she titled, we scratched her to give both Storm and her trainer a break.
Getting that girl to sit and pose for a picture is a trial. 😆 I did take a nice one with her trainer and she looks much happier. 🙂
Thunder had a good day on Saturday as well and finished his Seasoned Title. Again I understand that it was a challenging test in the heat and humidity with many dogs going out on the water blind. Thunder stayed focused and got his title. He can now replace SHR with HR in front of his name. Congrats to Thunder and his trainer/handler. Good job!
In UKC when a person titles a dog they have a tradition where they dump water on them. So when it was announced that Thunder had titled they sat his handler in a chair and dumped water all over him. Unfortunately I have no pictures of this because I was a the Michigan football game getting water dumped on me by good old mother nature. (In case you don’t know, there were severe storms and for the first time in Michigan football history, they had to call a game. With a little more than a quarter left to play, Michigan was declared the winner.)
I have some nice pictures of Thunder from Sunday’s test where his hot streak ended and he did not receive a qualifying score after a really difficult test. I will get those up hopefully tomorrow.
Thanks again to Darrin for doing such a great job with Storm and for helping with Thunder. Also, a huge thank you to the judges who had to sit through some really tough weather to judge these tests. Congrats to the other Farpointers who earned passes and titles this past weekend!
Congrats, awesome work…their photo captures their well earnt sleep 🙂
