Storm is back home from the Nationals. She did a good job in the ring, but no ribbon for her. (There were a lot of great dogs entered.) I think she is happy to be home. She has taken up her favorite place to snooze. I was hoping to take a picture of her with the ribbon she earned for her Seasoned pass, but it is pouring rain outside, so that will have to wait for better weather.
I suppose Storm would have been mad to hear that Thunder was off hunting…if the hunting had been better. The cover is still quite thick, so although he worked and worked, he only had two flushes. Due to the thick cover, there were no shots. The colder weather should knock the cover down and the leaves off the tress which typically makes for better hunting.
Next week is the waterfowl opener for the Middle Zone in Michigan, so hopefully there will be some wood ducks on the river. The 2 brown dawgs hope to get out for that and some more grouse hunting, (and pictures). 🙂
I’m glad to hear Thunder made a good show at the Nationals – she’ll get a ribbon soon, I’m sure. I’m always so impressed by your beautiful dogs….oops, I mean “dawgs” LOL! 😉

We are going to up your way this weekend at a show in Monroe, not sure how close that is too you.
Monroe is south of me, but not too far. Is it an all breed show? There are all breed shows there a couple of times a year, but the timing is off for us and we never seem to make those. Best of luck to you this weekend!
Yep, it’s an all breed show. We head up there about twice a day. we never seem seem to win in Michigan!
