The 2 brown dawgs have their very own brown bag that travels wherever they travel. Whenever they see it, they know they are going somewhere.
A few years ago we purchased this inexpensive duffel from Walgreen for dog travel necessities, ($3 in the sale aisle).
We liked it because it had lots of pockets to stash “stuff”.
In the front pocket we stashed waste bags.
In one of the side pockets we stashed extra grocery store plastic bags. These come in handy for all kinds of things. There are also extra batteries for the crate fans.
In the other side pocket we stashed extra leads, a weather radio and copies of their vet papers. When traveling with pets, it is important to have copies of their immunization records and any other important vet records that you might need when away from home. For example we have a copy of the hospital report from Thunder’s bloat surgery, just in case he should need treatment on the road for anything similar. It is much easier to let a vet unfamiliar with your pet read a report, rather than try to explain it. It is also a good idea to research names and phone numbers of vets, (including 24 hour emergency vets), that are in the area where you are traveling. Write their information down and put it in your traveling bag with your pet’s records. 🙂 When hunt test premiums are printed, they put information about area vets right in the premium. This is true for most dog events.
Now what is actually inside of the bag?
Come back tomorrow and find out!
I always carry a first aid kit – I also have a bloat kit ready for Fred at all times and now I have a seizure kit ready in case his grand mal seizures last too long…sigh.
My duo has their own bag too 🙂
That looks like a very important bag! It’s so important to have all the things needed in case of an emergency!
I totally agree with the plastic bags! You can never have enough of those!
We have a traveling bag too and it is great because if you need anything dog related you just go to the bag.
I can’t wait to find out what you carry in your bag. 🙂
Hi there,
I think the bag is stuffed full of yummy food!! Well, of course I would – Tee Hee
Have a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
I love how dogs can make the connection with an object and verb, in this case travel. Our dogs go crazy any time they see a leash, they know what that means!
When you are a famous dog you need special “stuff”!! Next should come “Secret Service”!!
Oh, no! We have to wait until tomorrow to see what is in that amazing bag. Great price for the bag too. Hugs and nose kisses
Yep, they sure do figure out fast when the travel bag comes out it means fun for dogs!
Ours is a camo colored one my mom gave me for Christmas a few years ago 🙂
You are so right. It is so important to have everything needed in one spot. Reminds me of our ‘twin’ bag that we carried all medical/important/emergency info in for our twins when they were very small. Pup bag is very important!
