We had another visit with the pups. They are all sweet and adorable! They were 5 weeks old yesterday and got to hang out in a bigger pen outside of the whelping room for a bit. They also had their first adventure into the living room and walking on a bare floor. At first they had a hard time maneuvering because it was so slippery, but it wasn’t long before most of them were zooming around. Let me tell you, zooming puppies make for blurry pictures. 😆
(Remember the red spots on some of their fur is just nail polish so that you can tell one brown pup from the next. :))
Cindy brought them out in groups of two or three and the pups seemed to enjoy exploring this new world.
We brought a couple of duck wings with us so at some point during the last group, Cindy put a wing on the floor. A good way to see if pups are “birdie” is to tie a wing to a string and see what kind of interest they show. They are a bit young for that, so we just let the wing lay on the floor to see if anything happened. Oh yes it did. One pup took the wing in its mouth and another had its little tail going just like Thunder and Storm do when they are on birds in the field. Of course I have no pictures of this. Actually, I have pictures but they are blurry. I got a couple of pictures that aren’t too bad of when the pups first came across the wing. Cindy said that next week we will try a wing tied to a string. We can’t wait! 🙂
All of that playing sure made the pups tired and it wasn’t long before they were thinking about a nap.
Thanks again to Cindy and Gary for letting us come and play!
The 2 brown dawgs had a busy weekend with training on Christmas Eve and a long walk in the woods on Christmas. I will have pictures later this week.
OMG they are adorable, their eyes just suck you in 🙂 LOL thanks for explaining the nail polish I would have thought it was blood lol
Everytime I see your puppy pictures it makes my heart melt. They are so adorable. It’s so exciting to see them grow. Are you leaning towards one yet? Sometimes it’s hard to decide which one will be right for you. I love the way puppies always pile on top of one another to sleep.
Those are some beautiful puppies, a champion in every one!
Hi Y’all!
You’ve got to stop showin’ these puppy pics! My Human is talkin’ puppy talk! There is only room for ONE dog in the SUV and that is ME!
Y’all come back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
adorable! I am getting massive puppy fever over here
How do you ever leave them???? So cute, just want to snuggle with them all.
Blessings,
Goose
Loving these puppy pics, but I really like the cat’s expression as the puppy comes near.
It looks like the puppies’ breeders are doing a great job socializing the pups. I can’t wait to see which ones take to the bird scents.
All the photos are fantastic but the one I specially like of the put and the cat eyeing each other! The cat is NOT amused!
The puppies are adorable and I love the fact that you are posting regular pics of them so we can see how they are progressing, so thanks.
So cute! Thanks for sharing.
Your pal, Pip
Wow! They’re growing FAST.
They sure are cute chubby little babies. Love the pics!!

p.s. i LOL’ed at hawk’s comment above. 🙂
What sweeties! What fun! Lucky you!
Oh man, I want a puppy.
Its crazy how big they have gotten! The wing test is interesting, I look forward to hearing how the puppies do.
Pardon me. I have to go pick up my melted heart now. These are so adorable! : )
So are you planning on taking one of the dogs interested in the wing? 😉
It looked to me like a couple of them had blue eyes, is that right? Do they normally have blue eyes or are they similar to humans in the fact that they can change by a certain age?
They are getting so big but OMG just as precious 🙂 We loved hearing about the duck wing…sounds like quite an exciting visit!!
I really like how they are all cuddled up against each other. I remember when I was with a breeder, I had a little sister as well. We used to play a ton!:)
That belly rub photo is just too much!
