Thanks to everyone for all of the great suggestions on how to cram the gigantic antibiotics down Storm’s throat give Storm her medicine. You all are very devious clever. I normally just wet the capsules and cram slide them down the back of the dog’s throat because I really do not want them to chew the capsules. I figured Storm’s mouth might be a bit sore from the surgery, so I did not want to pry gently open her mouth. I have been disguising putting the pill in a blob of peanut butter and she seems to be none the wiser and actually comes running when I call her…for now. Be assured that if the peanut butter stops working, I will definitely keep your other suggestions in mind. 🙂
By Sunday she was pretty much back to normal.
This is a Blog Hop. Thanks to Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Luna, a Dog’s Life, and My Brown Newfies for setting up this hop. Please go to any of the sponsoring blogs to find out who else has been mischievous.
I also took note of the suggestions, in case I might need them someday.
Good to know that Storm is getting back to her normal self.
You have me laughing!
Glad to hear about Storm! Some folks had really good suggestions!
Good to hear that the peanut butter ploy is still working! Great pictures!
Glad to hear that Storm is getting back to her old self. No dog can resist a good gob of peanut butter!
So glad to hear Ms. Storm is feeling better. I usually hide the pills in either cream cheese or peanutbutter. 🙂 Most of this pills Delilah will take as a treat. LOL But the rare ones she won’t get hidden.
Hurry up and feel better fast Storm.
Peanut butter is always good – even if it has hidden pills inside! *waggy tail*
Glad you are feeling better sweet storm and taking your meds. That hair will grow back in no time. Hugs and nose kisses
So glad to hear that Storm is back to her herself! Leroy is difficult to pill to. I usually have to resort to sticking the pill in the back of his throat and then chasing it with a squirt of water from a syringe. It’s a messy chore:)
Many healing hugs from Daisy! We’re glad to hear Storm’s getting back to her ol’ self already. And I’m sure those peanut butter “treats” make her happy too! 😀
I am so glad the peanut butter trick worked and Storm is feeling better! Food always works for us with pills as well. For the dog, anyway. When it comes to the cat, we have to be much more creative!
I hope Storm feels better. Peanut butter is good no matter whats in it. Bring it on for me, my Mommy does the same thing, she doesn’t think I know but as long as i get the peanut butter I will take whatever else it comes with

We are glad you’re better Storm!
Hey Storm,
Glad to hear you’re feeling better buddy 🙂 You fell for the old Peanut Butter trick? My Mum can’t get me with that – I just lick off the Peanut Butter and then spit out that yucky medicine!! Tee Hee
Wags to all
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
Very happy that Storm is feeling much better and is healing well. Glad the peanut butter is working that makes it much easier. My two won’t eat peanut butter and hiding just doesn’t work. Have to just put them in the throat. She is looking good, hopefully that continues and she is back to training soon:)
YAY!!! We have been praying for her and it is great to see her doing so well!
Hi Y’all,
Thanks for stoppin’ to visit me!
So glad Storm is getting along well and has plenty of appetite. I sympathize with her and those pills. I get 3 or more pushed down my throat 3 times day plus eye drops twice a day and medicated ear medicine 3 times a week. I’m good about everything but the ears. Hate the ears.
Hey Freighter I love to try to shake my head HARD before the Human can get out of the way and before she can swab my ear out. 😉
Hope y’all are havin’ a wonderful, safe week.
Y’all come back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Glad you are feeling better Storm! You are lookin’ good in those pictures!
Hey Storm, Jet here. Hi Miss Linda.
We liked your post today with all the cross outs! Storm, may I say you look fetching and back to the picture of health? Go with the peanut butter, or cream cheese or other goodies… know that Mom always wants what’s best for you. 🙂
Storm looks like she’s recovering quite well, and nightly peanut butter may be your new routine. Our guys woof at us when it’s time for their medicine.
I’m glad the peanut butter is working. I’ve also seen the pill pockets by greenies, but never tried them.
Happy Monday!
Colby
Missed the other post, but so glad the peanut butter seems to be working! 🙂
Oh, here’s a newer update! Excellent news!!
