No real mischief. Our visit with Freighter on Saturday was wonderful. There was no group training but since it was a beautiful day, we took Freighter out to run some marks and to see how he would work for us. We had the field all to ourselves and we had a blast. He is really coming along with his training. Darrin is doing a great job with him.
There was a slight bit of mischief. Freighter was taking a round about path to and from the mark rather than running through the decoys. That is not uncommon with young dogs.
We rearranged the place where his handler stood which made it really easy for him to blast right through the decoys.
He held the bumpers and came right back to his handler. Excellent. Next we moved to water.
Freighter’s training is coming along so nicely that we are planning to enter him in his first test. Oh my! 😆
This is a Blog Hop. Thanks to Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Luna, a Dog’s Life, and My Brown Newfies for setting up this hop. Please go to any of the sponsoring blogs to find out who else has been mischievous.
Go Freighter! Glad you had a great visit!
Those are good decoys… had me fooled! 🙂
Well, as it was a training session, I’m really glad to hear there was no mischief. Love the photos.
honest to god, I’d be fooled by those decoys anytime lol
Decoys! We have those at my park, but they’re not decoys, they’re just really mean. I think it’s because I try to herd them. A test! Wow, GOOD LUCK DAWG! *Wag wag wag*
great pics and visit. good luck at the test, when is it?
It is Michigan Flyways on Labor Day weekend. I am working Master stake so I probably won’t be able to watch him run.
Freighter looks so happy! That is great that his training is going so good! I can’t wait to hear all about his first competition!
That is one happy dog.. I must admit I thought the decoy’s were real.
Blessings,
Goose
The glee on his face in ‘Go, Freighter!’ melts my heart!
Wow, his first test already! I KNEW he was a natural! 😀
You guys have done a really great job with the dogs. I cannot believe that Freighter is already old enough to be doing his first test. 🙂
Freighter sounds like he’s doing great! He sure is growing!
Hi Y’all!
Can’t get over how Freighter has grown and matured…what a great retriever!
Just hoppin’ by to say “hi”.
Humans have been busy doing and going. If you saw me in today’s post, you’ll know if they aren’t around, I’m NOT doing…so I’ve really been missin’ y’all!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Hey Freighter,
Glad you were able to fit in a little Mischief even when you were trying to impress your family with how well you’re doing!! 🙂
Have fun buddy,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
Here I am wondering why those Canadian geese aren’t flying away …
Little Freighter is such a good little doggie – I wish he could come and play in my pond, no scary decoys to worry about there *Waggy tail*
Good job Freighter! We live on the golf course and those look just like the decoys Linus likes to chase.
He sure looks like he is having a blast. And I agree with Flo – I thought they were real geese at first too! So nice you are able to visit him during his training.
Is anything prettier than a dog running his heart out, happy to do a good job for his human? Great pics, thanks!
Freighter looks so good in his training. What a beautiful dog. Way to go Freighter!
Wow!! Sweet Freighter you are really doing good on your training. Love the pics. Hugs and nose kisses
Good luck on Freighter’s upcoming test, he looks ready for it.
