In addition to doing a bit of waterfowl retrieving, Freighter also tried a bit of grouse hunting this past weekend. Since it was his first time, he hunted an area that is more open, but with less chance of flushing a grouse. He did a good job of working nice and close and coming when called, but unfortunately he had no flushes. Next time he might get to try an area with more cover and a better chance of finding a bird or two. (These pictures were taken on our little pocket camera by my husband.)

Oh that last photo is very nice Frame worthy I’d say.
Blessings,
Goose
Freighter looks so intent on finding the grouse and so handsome! Too bad he didn’t flush one out because I would of loved to have seen a picture of one! (I don’t think I know what one looks like)
Awwwwe! I bet Freighter was a little disappointed but still had fun working. Those are pretty good pictures, especially that last one. 🙂
I love his looks, he is so handsome and has such a nice stance. Here’s hoping the gets to do some flushing this weekend!
Hey Freighter,
Loving that Red collar Dude, it really suits you! 🙂
Wags to all,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
That red collar really pops!! Goose is right about that last pic!
You take temporarily adoptions?
I would send you Doggy, backpack included. He needs to get his behind kicked by some hard working dogs.
He looks like a grown up now.
I would take Doggy in an instant and I am sure he would have fun here. But remember Freighter spent over two months with a professional trainer so he has a head start on the working. 🙂
Very nice pictures! Happy Wordless Wednesday! 🙂
Great photos for a pocket camera! Good job on staying close next time you will get a grouse.
Looks like you had a blast trying to find those birds, eh Freighter?
Next time Freighter 🙂 Great photos!
The forest and Freighter look gorgeous!
He’s not happy that all the grouse left before he got there. He’s looking everywhere, where did the go??
