The brown dawgs were good pups last year so Santa left them some goodies. Mostly they got cookies, but he also left Freighter a new toy. It is one of those toys where you hide a treat and the dog has to use his nose and slide the covers to find it. Freighter couldn’t wait to try it out.
The brown dawgs also got some great stuff from their cousin Polly. They got some special treats and a Kong Wubba. It is a well established rule that Storm claims all Kongs for herself.
Freighter’s surgery is scheduled today and of course we got a snowstorm overnight. We had to change-up so that my hubby is going to drop him off because he has the 4-wheel drive vehicle. I will probably pick him up later. We are hoping they don’t have to do too much shaving because we would like to try him in a show in a few weeks. The judge is a good one for a pup’s first time in the ring. A few years ago when we were trying to finish Thunder, we showed Storm to her. That was at a time when Storm we quite uncomfortable in the ring, but she did great with this judge because the judge has a nice manner with the dogs.
Also, I ordered my new camera, for better or for worse. After a ton of studying I opted for one that is supposed to be fast enough for the pictures I want to take. Eventually I hope to add some different lenses. I will let you know how I like it, but don’t expect great pictures to start. I think there will be a steep learning curve. 🙂
Wait a second, why is Freighter having surgery? I missed that:) Regardless, I hope that everything goes well! So excited that he will start showing soon! Wish we were going to Detroit this year to watch him!
He is having a bit of stubborn dew claw removed. It should just be a little thing, hopefully.

I hope it’s a minimal shaving as well. I’m thinking of you guys today and sending good thoughts Freighter’s way. It is established in our house that Delilah gets all the toys too. Go figure.
Curious to know what camera you bought and how you like it. My point and shoot is okay, but I would like something better as well.

OK Frieghter, just remember, LEAVE THE STITCHES ALONE. Looks like you all had a great Christmas and a snowstorm to boot. We did too and because of it, everyone stayed home and we had a WONDERFUL day.
