Now for some This ‘N That…

Last Saturday we attended our Chessie Club’s Annual Meeting.  There is always a raffle with donated items and door prizes.  This year I won a nice collar which Thunder was nice enough to  model.

It is one of those collars that is supposed to dry quickly after it gets wet.  Thunder liked it despite the picture of a yellow dog on it.  🙂

I received Freighter’s show photo.  I was not very happy with it.  He looks too leggy in the picture and he has a Great Gazoo floating over his back.  Plus it was raining the day it was delivered and the postal carrier left it on the porch so by the time we retrieved it, it was soaking wet.  I tried phoning the photographer, but I never got an answer, so I wrote an email.  No reply.  I doubt we will be getting many more show photos.

When Thunder was in showing, the photographers were extremely nice and let me take a candid picture while they were taking pictures.  I purchased many of Thunder’s show pictures and many duplicates because they were all so good.  They no longer allow candid pictures which is too bad since the quality of the show picture I received was not what I would call professional.

Oh well.  Why dwell on it when there are chocolate hearts to be eaten?  Of course no chocolate for brown dawgs so they will have to settle for an extra cookie or two.

  7. I agree that while Freighter still looks good, that photo was not very professional. My favorite photo, however, is the first one. They are so beautiful!

    I’d be ticked off about the photos too. I have to tell you, I laughed out loud for some time about the Gazoo comment. It does look like a little green man on his back and you’d think a professional photographer would KNOW how to stage a picture! And it’s totally NOT cool not to return your phone calls, e-mail inquiries. But sadly customer service is not what it once was.

  13. Darn, that is not a good show picture at all…Badly posed and shot from a bad angle with bad lighting…That’s a shame…your candid is much better…Happy Valentine’s Day to you and the brown dog pack from a scruffy terrier

  17. Freighter is just so handsome! I’m glad you were able to get your own shots, I agree that the pro picture is a bit….lacking. It isn’t comically bad the way some I’ve seen are.
