We were tired from our long dog show weekend, but we still wanted to attend our Monday night Conformation Class. We have another couple of shows at the end of the month so Freighter needs to keep practicing.
Freighter wasn’t completely thrilled with the idea.
Freighter did fine, but we could tell he was lagging a bit. There wasn’t a big turn out for class, so we called it quits a bit early and headed home. Before we left, I had a chance to watch a bit of the puppy class in the next ring.
I would also like to give a long overdue thanks for some awards I have received. Sorry it has taken me so long to acknowledge them. Hopefully I haven’t missed any.
We received the Sunshine Award from Nikitaland, Earl’s World, Sand Spring Chesapeakes and Love Is Being Owned By A Husky.
We also received the following awards from Hawk.
Thank you so much to all of these great bloggers for recognizing us. If you haven’t met these bloggers yet, do yourself a favor and stop by their blogs and meet them.
This is the Thursday Bark And Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like A Dog.

That was full on but we too would have had a sneaky peak at the puppy class. Congratulations on all your awards. Well done. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
You did very well in the ring Freighter.
Glad you received your award from us 🙂
Earl and I.
You know I love Freighter, but the puppy class 😀
Freighter does look like he’s perhaps had enough. Have a good rest all of you! 😉 Nice work on the awards 😉
I’m sure Freighter just needs a bit of a break. Bailie can relate to being tired of practicing. She does most of her commands really well, but too many repetitions and she just forgets it all. Her and Mom are looking forward to a break from Obedience for a few weeks in May. Funny, though, we never get tired of repetitions in nose work!
Hi Y’all!
Congratulations!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
You have no rest and I’ve got too much rest!! LOL Freighter seems to need a day off to regroup after his outstanding show. And that puppy is far too cute!! 🙂
Congratulations to your awards! I like the idea with the mirror, think we will try it too :o)
I’m sure Freighter is trying to be patient that his person is taking a while to learn how to run around the ring 😉
love love love that scrunched up face picture. Sometimes they just have enough. You are so welcome for the award, much deserved.
Awww! Puppy classes!
Good luck, Freighter! Looking GOOD!
Great shots! Congrats on your award!!!
Ha, poor Freighter 🙂 Hope all that practice pays off! I don’t think I am going to be able to make another show until Midland – I am taking off two days so I can do all four days of that (Kelinn turns six months the first day, and they have rally for Jeni). Asta will be at the next Birch Run show with a handler so hopefully she can get some points!
Maybe he was just damn tired. 🙂 Poor little guy, he really went through his paces over the weekend. OR Maybe he’s getting a Devo attitude? I mean, he did very well this past weekend.
Every once in a great while, Harper Lee is like that at obedience school. It’s like she never ever heard the command “Down.” I look at her, and all I can see is a two-year-old child staring back at me and saying “No!” Congratulations on your well-deserved awards, and thank you so much for the puppy cuteness overload!
You can see it in Freighter’s eyes…he’s had enough…
Congrats on the blog awards, and it looks like Freighter is doing a good job to me. Interesting with the mirror. And that pup truly is cuteness overload. Look how he SITS!! Too funny.
“Awww mom…don’t you know I’d rather be hunting?” 🙂
Congratulations on your awards!
Hopefully Freighter has had a chance to rest up a bit and will do better next time. On the plus side you got to see those fluffy puppies!
Congratulations on your blogging awards! I guess Freighter proves that regardless of what the handler thinks, it’s the dog whose in control. lol
