May was a busy month for us. We traveled to Wisconsin for a seminar and worked our club’s hunt test. Hubby was out training as much as he could manage, and we had a holiday weekend mixed in.
June looks to be a but less packed, but only a bit. June is also Storm’s birthday month. She turns 7 on the 25th.
A little free time means Storm gets to do a couple of her favorite things:
And play with her KONG!
Long time readers might remember that Storm’s favorite toy is her Kong. She is never too tired to play. You would get tired of throwing it before she got tired of retrieving it.
Great photo series! Daisy’s just the opposite – she wants us to throw her toys ONCE, then she runs away with them. I’ve never had a dog do that before! It’s clear to me that Daisy doesn’t have one singe ounce of Retriever blood in her!
We have to laugh at raisingdaisy’s comment; our person says that even though I’m a Retriever I have been “corrupted” by the Terrier – I love fetch-and-runaway too! Our person says it would take a whole lot of work to make a working Retriever out of me these days.
I love my KONG too! Have fun! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
She is in such great shape. Wonderful photos of her enjoying her kong.
Kongs are great! Is it filled with something too? maybe peanut butter?
I love watching my guys play with the Kong, of course they aren’t in love with it like Storm is, so it doesn’t happen all that often. BUT when they do, I love how it slips out of their mouths and bounces, it is just so fun to watch.
My girls love to play with their Kong Bounzers out in the back yard; but they are easily distracted by squirrels, chipmunks, frogs, and birds.
Storm is sure having a fun time there. Weather looks nice too. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
That entreating Chessie look! Storm and Macha must be half-sisters! Always have unending energy for what they love to do! Macha and Miss Erynn went
shopping at Bass Pro yesterday…the little one rode in a shopping cart, it was up periscope or like the turret on a tank. Favorites are the taxidermy, the aisle with serious retrieving toys, fish in tank and stream, and do not let Macha near the human’s candy. Quite the expedition, but they were very well behaved, proper Chessie ladies.
We were sorry to miss you. We would have loved to meet the new addition.
Fun! I wish Rita liked to play fetch more! 2 or 3 throws and she’s done and would rather just lie there and gnaw on her toy. June is Rita’s birthday month as well!
Seems like half the dogs I know have a birthday in June! Geez! Hope she has a big celebration planned. I hope to do it up nicely for my sisters.
wow thats some great energy! I bet a big b day is around the corner

It is so nice to see you playing with your Kong! I’m glad that you had fun. Wow, there are so many birthdays of our dog friends this month!
Storm, that sure does look like fun! We can see how much you love that Kong!
Oh yeah….. The Kong!
Oh, the look at the end there! They can be like energizer bunnies when it’s their favorite toy, can’t they? We often wear out before they do!
She has such a feminine expression!
Phoebe only loves her Kong if there’s food in it.
Great pictures! It’s fun to watch the puppy come out in them as they grow older.
Hi Y’all!
Shame on you! Quitting before Storm wanted you to quit! (‘Course that’s not my Human’s point of view.)
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Great pictures! My labrador’s favorite treat is carrot peels in her Kong. She comes running to the kitchen when she hears me get out the cutting board, hoping it means “Kong time!!”
