It is no secret that Storm loves frozen treats. Last year she got Frosty Paws for her birthday. She loves Frosty Paws. But this year when I went to Pet Supplies Plus to cash in Storm’s $5.00 birthday coupon, they did not have any Frosty Paws. Oh no!
Not to worry. They now carry a complete line of Nature’s Variety Food and they had something called Sweet Spots which is their version of a frozen treat. (Cost was a little over $7.00! I chipped in the difference.)
I picked the peanut butter & honey flavor because Storm loves peanut butter.
Storm was super excited to try them.
Poor Storm, I made her take so many pictures that she got totally bored and started to yawn.
She was getting close to finally eating her birthday treat, but first I needed a shot of her with her “birthday cake”. Notice I put 7 candles in her treat. No I did not light the candles. 🙂
OK enough pictures. Of course by now the frozen treat was a bit soupy. You are supposed to pop it out of the container, but Storm had to eat hers more like soup.
Next Freighter and Thunder got their turn. Poor Freighter had to stare at his treat.
He got a bit bored with the pictures too.
I ended up cutting up the treats for Thunder and Freighter so they wouldn’t try to eat it in one big hunk.
Freighter also got out for his morning walk.
He has graduated to using his leather slip collar instead of Storm’s chain training collar.
Yesterday was an interesting morning because it was garbage day. As a puppy Freighter was a bit scared of the loud garbage truck. He is over that, but he did discover something that one of our neighbor’s put at the curb which drew his attention. He stopped and stared at it. Then he pointed to it, (no really like a pointer). Then he barked at it. Then he decided it was pretty dull and we moved on.
What was it?

Looks like everyone had a great birthday party. Happy Birthday Belated.
HaPpY BiRtHdAy STORM!!!!!!
Loved the pictures!
Wally & Sammy
Storm and Freighter are so funny waiting to get the treat! 😀
Hi Y’all!
Enough treats for all attendees! Happy birthday…(hint…try to stretch the celebration out an entire week).
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Hope you had a great birthday Storm! That birthday cake looks pretty yummy!
Love the birthday pictures, glad you were able to find a tasty ice cream treat.
Happy birthday. Looks like a great substitute. Mom doesn’t do much dog cooking, but she is thinking about making some frozen yogurt treats.
What fun! Happy birthday and what cool treats! My dogs would flip over something that doesn’t belong, too.
HAHAHAHA! Freighter’s bored-face is the best!
Happy birthday! Mauja and Atka love frozen treats as well. Typically, I make my own, but I’ll have to give these a try! 🙂
I have never heard of those treats but they sure look delicious! If the Brown dawgs like them, then I am sure they are awesome. A BIG Happy (belated) Birthday to Storm!
Happy Birthday, Storm! The SweetSpots look really delicious. I’ll have to see if any of our local shops have some.
Cannot remember when I have seen a more cavernous yawn! Rimmed with teeth for added emphasis. Freighter provides many a chuckle, he reminds me a bit of our old guy. PB, every Chessie just loves it in any form. Frozen treats, yummy! Good idea to nake smaller bites for the fellas, otherwise instant gulp!
Ah poor Storm she had birthday soup. 🙂 At least Thunder and Freighter’s were pretty solid.
Delilah usually barks like a mad dog at the garbage truck but since we’ve started morning walks it has really helped her see that the truck is not her enemy.
We did have some interesting things happen on our walk this morning, but you’ll have to wait to read about it. 😉
Looks like a good birthday! We’re mean, we never celebrate our dog’s birthdays haha
Frozen treats are great! And to wait a while is not bad, because it’s much better when it is a little thawed :o) Easy pointed too as we got a new traffic sign and he started to attack it :o) But at last there was something “wrong” on “his” street what he noticed immediately :o)
LOL! Storm doesn’t seem to mind birthday soup 🙂
I hope that you had a fabulous birthday Storm! I love the candles in your treat! hahaha!! Bentley likes to check out anything our neighbors are throwing away. If he were human, I am pretty sure that he’d be dumpster diving!! Enjoy your cool treats ♥♥♥
Happy Belated Birthday to Storm! Leroy has a birthday coming up and I really wanted to get him a cake since he’s had such a tough year but I decided against it because of his tummy troubles! I’m hoping I figure out something fun for him!
Looks like a great party – even if you pups did get bored waiting for your treats! Rita loves a frosty treat every now and then!
I love those yawning pictures! Barley and I will have to look for those treats next time we are at Pet Supplies Plus! (First, I’ll have to clean out the freezer a little bit so there’s room for both of us to have frozen treats in there, though!) Barley gets weird about things that are out around trash day, too. Most of the time she’ll ignore things, but every now and then she’ll see an object that’s just too much for her to handle and she’ll stop and refuse to walk by it. Silly dog 🙂
Lot of stores run out of Frosty Paws around here in the summer. Mom just makes us some ice cream instead. No matter, the main thing is that she had a pawsome day!
Happy Birthday, Storm! Looks like you had a great party!
Clearly the photographer needs to be just a bit speedier….LOL. It looks like Storm got a yummy birthday treat….I like to let them soften a bit anyway.
Luke is at that age where he notices different things in places….last week he spent 15 minutes barking at my wheelbarrow with some bags of mulch in it down in the veggie garden area. I finally had to take him in there and let him see it was harmless. 🙂
What a great way for the guys to cool off and get a treat. I’ll have to see if we can get Sweet Spots around here. Anything out of place around here gets a chorus of barks from the guys.
Sorry we are late to say Happy Birthday sweet Storm. Looks like you had a great party and loved those treats. Hugs and nose kisses
