Thunder and I got out for a little exercise in our yard chasing a large ball. We may not make any of the World Cup teams, but we had fun.
We are joining the FitDog Friday blog hop hosted by Slimdoggy, Peggy’s Pet Place, To Dog with Love. This week is also the beginning of K9 Kamp. Fun! Katie used to be like that with her soccer ball. Now she can’t do the moves really, but she will chase it a couple times. That must be a tough ball as those plastic kids balls always deflate at our house.
It is sort of a hard foam. We also have a hard horse ball, but I could not find it for the life of me. I need to do a hunt for it. 🙂
What fun! It’s always good to mix up/add new fitness challenge to plain old, boring fetch.
Great, I bet you even could win the soccer worldcup!
FUN and a great game to play. You guys got great moves. Golden Woofs
Laughed at the pounce photo! Great expression, great tail ~ an exclamation point!
Happy weekend all.
Fun backyard game too! Love all the photos… especially over ran it! Welcome to K9 Kamp!

Such fun pictures! It looks like he had a balst!
Soccer is a great backyard game! And you look marvelous playing with the bright red ball.
What a fun way to get some exercise in! Excellent! Have a terrierific weekend!
I feel like I need to get a large ball for the dogs to chase, though I’m not sure if they would get it. With two herding dogs in the house though I have to think they’d be amused. Are your dogs rough on their balls? I have seen the Jolly Balls that I think are supposed to be durable but I’m not sure what the best kind is.
Thunder is rough on them. The Jolly Balls are very good. Most of the horse balls are durable.
Im tired just looking at these photos! 🙂
What a great game. Ava and I play a similar game with a soccer ball. The goal is to always end up like your last picture. “All Tired Out”
I think you are ready for a dog soccer team.
I keep telling my dogs they are retrievers but do they listen? NO! Neither one of them really likes to fetch. They may do it for two or three tosses, but that’s usually it. Of course I’ve also seen very ball driven dogs and I guess if I had my choice, I’d prefer not to have one of those! LOL
Love the photos, what a great way to keep in shape.
LOL we were actually doing more chasing than fetching. Of course at one point Thunder decided he had to pick the ball up and bring it so it has teeth marks in it now. 🙂
That looks like such fun!
What great fun! I just love watching them have a blast chasing a ball around (Luke is the only one that really does it). You got some great photos of the action too.
I’m trying to teach Mr. N to nose a ball through a “goal post” right now. After that, he can challenge the brown dawgs to a soccer match!
Absolutely PAWTASTIC action shots!
Oh, that looks like so much fun! That’s the perfect was to stay fit during the World Cup! 🙂
What a tricky looking ball! And it looks like he had a blast too 🙂
Great fun! The color of the green in the pictures is very nice!
I think he’d make a great striker!
You all sure look like you’re having a lot of fun with that ball! Maya would love to join you. 🙂
You gave me an idea with this post. I decided I’m going to go get a kid’s soccer ball to play with Ducky out in the yard. (I don’t want an expensive, “regulation” ball for this purpose.)
Thunder certainly looks like he had a lot of fun with that big ball!
That was some great ball playing sweet Thunder, you are a winner in our book. By the way that sure is a pretty red ball. Fabulous pictures! Hugs and nose kisses
Great action shots!
