Last weekend Thunder got to visit the Tule who is the love of his life. I have written before about how Thunder goes all doe-eyed whenever Tule is around. He has been that way ever since he was a young dog.
Tule will be 10 in December and Thunder will be 9 in March, but it didn’t stop them from having a great time playing with a Kong. For those of you keeping track, Thunder and Tule are Freighter’s grandparents.
Thunder and Tule had a cheering section.
In the rear is Gunner–Thunder’s brother. In the front left is Smokey–Thunder and Tule’s daughter/Freighter’s Mom. In the front right is Sunny–Freighter’s sis.
This weekend is waterfowl hunting and of course it is going to be a warm sunny weekend which is not great for waterfowl. Our timing has been off all season. Only one dog will be going along this trip. Come back Monday and find out which of the brown dawgs got to go.
I will also post the winner of the Full Moon Chicken Jerky give-away on Monday and if you didn’t spot the blooper come back Monday for the answer.
Also, just a reminder that the Three Dog Bakery 15 % discount code DAWGS is still good through October 31st. If you are thinking of getting some special Halloween Pumpkin Biscuits, some of their seasonal treats like the Harvest Apple Duo or Pup-kin Seeds-Tiny Wafers (read our review here), or any of their regular treats like their Roll-Over Rewards Baked With Oats & Apples be sure to take advantage of the discount.
The brown dawgs loved the Harvest Apple Duo treats so much I ordered some more since they are only available until mid November. I ordered them this past Monday afternoon and received the treats via UPS Wednesday morning, so there is still time to order a special treat for Halloween.
Have a nice weekend!
Many thanks too SlimDoggy, MyGBGV Life, and To Dog with Love for the FitDog Friday Blog Hop!
How fun that they all seem to be related in one way or another! Nothing better than hanging out and playing with friends/family! Thanks for joining the hop!
Aww! True love! Glad to know it wasn’t just a fling!
What a beautiful girl, no wonder Thunder is head over heels in love with her. She sure can play! Good luck hunting!
How nice it must be to visit the Brown Dawgs family! It looks like Thunder and Tule really are a pair! Lots of luck on your hunting adventure this weekend. We cannot wait to hear all about it.

Love that you have these family reunions. Tule is a beauty – no wonder they produce such great dogs. Thanks for joining the Hop.
True love, how very, very sweet. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
I love that he has a soft spot for her. She’s a real beauty.
Age isn’t holding them back one bit!
We love the 2 Brown Dawgs!
It looks like they had a great time! They’re all gorgeous dogs, so I don’t blame Thunder for being in love 🙂
Old friends are the best friends. Lulu is like that for Mojo.
Hi Y’all!
And it’s a family affair!!!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Wow. Mich looks JUST like his grandma!!
Thunder and Tule are so sweet together.
So fun to see the family! Quality time with the family is important. 🙂
Oh, how FUN! I’m so glad Thunder gets to see the love of his life. It looks like they have a total blast.
What a fantastic time they are having! They are having a blast, no doubt.
That first photo really shows off those romping senior dogs greying fur… in a cute “good side” way, of course!
Tule is actually “tan” she is a very light shade of dilute brown. Tan is nice because you don’t really see the grey (even if it looks like it is in the picture).
What a lovely pair of good looking dogs. I can see they are the best of friends and love getting together for a fun romp!
That is just sweet and look how much fun they had. We are glad sweet Thunder got to visit and play with his love. Again, some super pictures!!! Hugs and nose kisses
Tule is beautiful so I can see why he’s smitten 🙂 I love seeing dog friends playing together – my dog Laika is in love with the lab from next door, I find it so endearing. She really doesn’t like most dogs but he’s her special companion – in her eyes he can do no wrong.
Human wonders if Donna will ever go doe-eyed at anything besides food…. on a side note doe Thunder and Thule leap at the Kong while it’s bouncing around? Donna is cautious so she’ll wait for it to stop bouncing before getting it. 😛
Yes they do leap at it, but remember, they are retrievers. 🙂
Still in love after all these years….that’s so sweet! I try to keep track of who belongs to who, but just can’t seem to, so thanks for reminding us! 🙂
Thanks for letting Thunder and Tule play. What fun.
They sure look like they enjoy each other.
Beautiful Pictures of all the family. Thunder and Tule, love knows no age. And looks like they were really enjoying playing together. Hope who ever gets to go hunting gets some birds and has a great day:)
