Last weekend it was too hot to spend much time outside so we took the dogs to the park for some training and to cool off. This is the first time I have been out with them training since my surgery in July.
I positioned myself at the edge of the pond so I could throw bumpers and take pictures. We were throwing water doubles, or two bumpers at a time, for them. Being right on the edge of the pond, I was in a good position to get some decent pictures.
It was a bright sunny day but it was early morning, so the sun was behind me. I did not have to contend with too much glare. I like most of the pictures I took that day. Here is a small sample.
Thunder was up first. At 9 1/2 he still loves to retrieve water marks.
Next up was Storm. Storm was 8 in June. She is fit and loves to get out and work.
Last but not least, Freighter. It is hard to get decent pictures of him because he is extremely fast. By the time you catch him, he has whizzed by.
Have a nice weekend!
Thanks to SlimDoggy, MyGBGV Life, and To Dog with Love for the FitDog Friday Blog Hop!
What great photos – you should submit them to Outdoor Magazine or Field & Stream or something. Such beauty and grace in those jumps…love it.
The can walk on the water! How great is that :o) I love this photos, the mirror effect of the water is fabulous!

Great action shots! The dogs look like they were having a blast!
Great action shots! I love the picture where it looks like you have no front legs! 🙂
What fun! That front shot of Freighter is awesome and the last ones look like glass, not water.
I LOVE the photos–especially the ones of Storm with the reflections. They came out great. Glad you were able to get back out to training 🙂
Those pictures are AMAZING, great job. I love all of them especially the ones were you can see their reflections in the water.
Great action shots of your good boy having some fun :). I love that name, by the way.
Swimming is such good exercise for canines and humans alike!
I absolutely love your water pictures! Wishing you a beautiful, cool weekend with lots and lots of dog fun!
Such amazing photos – that water entry on is perfection 🙂
They look like they’d be really good at dock diving too!
I love these photos! The water looks so pretty splashing up around the dogs 🙂 It looks like you all had a fantastic day.
Wow, nice camera work! All your pictures came out wonderfully!! I agree with SlimDoggy ~ you should submit them to a magazine!
Those are amazing photos!!
What fantastic photos and gorgeous fit dogs. Can’t believe the action. Really beautiful.
What terrific photos, you did a great job of catching them in action. You can see how much they love that launch into the water. I love the one of Thunder that looks like he is underwater!?
I’m so glad you’re able to get back out there with the brown dawgs again! I bet they were happy about it, too!!
And, definitely GREAT photos! It’s impossible to pick a favorite!
Beautiful photos and s fun cooling off day
I’m so happy for you that you were finally able to get back out there! You really got some great shots!
Love these photos. 🙂 Somehow I missed that you had surgery. I’m glad you’re feeling up to getting out with the dogs.
Great pictures!
We now have a pond, but it won’t be dog ready until next year although the dogs are very curious about it and Scout has been tempted to take a dip. I’m so excited.
The pictures are great! Makes me want to break the rules and let Scout take a dip.
Lucky pups! Did you post any pictures of your pond?
