This time of year kids write letters to Santa. The brown dawgs did not want to be left out so this past weekend they got out their Sharpies, some paper and wrote their letters.
It was a good weekend to write them because we had a wet weekend up at the cabin. It was warm which made for rain instead of snow. Brown dawgs would much rather have snow this time of year. Maybe they will ask Santa for some?
Letters To Santa
All three dogs told Santa they had been good all year long. I guess for the most part that is true. They are good dogs.
Top of all three of their lists were cookies. No surprise there. They are retrievers. They think of their stomachs first.
Thunder figures at his age he has everything he could ever need except cookies. That’s it. All he wants is a bunch of cookies.
Of course Storm wanted cookies too, but she also asked Santa for a new bed.
Last but not least, Freighter. He is really getting into playing fetch these days and he would like a new ball for his very own in addition to the cookies.
Once they were all done, they addressed their letters to Santa and put them in the mail box.
Hopefully Santa agrees that they have been good dogs and they get more than a lump of coal in their stockings.
Have you been good all year? Have you written your letter to Santa?
I’m sure Santa comes with a truckload of cookies and the bed and the ball are on board of his sled too. He knows that you are GOOD BROWN DAWGS, there is not one entry in the black book… it’s probably filled with things I did this year LOL
Aw, Easy, I’m sure Santa will bring you some cool presents, too. He knows you don’t mean to be bad, you just can’t help it sometimes. Like Ducky.
I’ve been really good and am asking for a new bed since Bailie has ruined all of mine. Bailie has been pretty bad, so not sure if she can con Santa into getting onto the nice list or not.
They are not asking for a lot, so we hope they get it all! Our crew is asking for snow I am sure, along with cookies, balls, and stuffie toys. They have been (mostly) good too!
Macha was looking over Erynn’s shoulder as she wrote to Santa. Just making sure that she was honest about her degree of goodness! Well, mostly. An elf had to remind Macha that she was no angel either, at almost two! Macha is concerned that Santa arrive very early on December 25th, because the Chessies will be headed to New Hampshire on the train and how will Santa manage with no chimney? At eleven Macha can be a bit skeptical about humans keeping up traditions.
The girls will be bringing surprises for Pippa and Shorty, a herder and a ratter respectively! Their greatest present will be miles of trails and woods!
Freighter looks so earnest, how could Santa possibly say no?
The only present Shadow and Ducky really want – and us humans too – is to have their sister back, healthy and happy. I’m sure Santa would bring Callie back if he could. But they are both getting new collars; Shadow is getting new tennis balls for her Chuckit! toy, and I still have to find a toy – maybe a new Kong Wubba – for Ducky. It doesn’t feel much like Christmas around here this week with afternoon temps in the 70s. I miss the snow we used to get when I was a little kid.
Shhhsh, I never told my dogs about Santa. 🙂 I’m sure Santa will reward the Brown Dawgs, they have been very good!
cute post, I hope they all get their goodies.
So cute. Hope they all get what they asked for! Rita has mostly been good. (She sure tries.) She hasn’t writtne a letter, but I know she’d ask for treats. She doesnt really NEED any new toys, but she’s getting one anyway! (Don’t tell!)
I hope your Christmas wishes come true!
