Storm is a dog who loves to retrieve. I know she is a retriever, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever to be exact, but not all retrievers love to retrieve. I think she would actually retrieve until she keeled over. It doesn’t matter what she retrieves: a toy kong, a training bumper, a ball, a duck, a pheasant, anything will do. Of course birds are her favorite, but hunting season is short so she retrieves what she can.
Storm is retired from hunt testing but not from training. However, we do not always run her at group training since she is retired and there are always more than enough dogs running.
This does not sit well because she loves to retrieve.
Last Saturday it was Storm’s lucky day because the last setup of the day was a long single so hubby got her out to run it and get a little exercise.
It was short and sweet, but Storm loved it!
Have a nice weekend!
Bailie loves to retrieve, but not return. She takes off with the object and runs off. Good for Storm being such a great retriever!
Silly Baily. The retrieve is all about the return. Otherwise it is chasing. 🙂
Storm is like my Cocoa. She lived for retrieving. Made her so happy 🙂
That looks like so much fun for Storm and the humans. Glad she got a chance to retrieve something. Bet she was a happy dog.
That is great that Storm was able to do some retrieving. It must a been a special day for her. ☺
way to go storm!
Yay for Storm getting to have some fun! Even though we have two retrievers, our beagle is our best retriever…LOL…but she’s all about balls. She doesn’t have any interest in much else, unless there’s nothing else available!
Looks like Storm was having loads of fun. Rudy loves to retrieve and would gladly give up food in any form in order to chase a tennis ball, flippy flier, whatever! He and Storm would have a ball together 🙂
You are a pro Storm and it is a really a sweet pleasure to watch ya :o)
Looks like fun. Sydney is only half retriever – the half that doesn’t like to retrieve. LOL
Great girl! Keeping her youthful figure!
