Thunder is ready for the weekend.
He is feeling much better after his neuter surgery a week ago Thursday. He has finished his antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications and has not been bothering his stitches, so he has not had to wear the cone of shame. His stitches will come out early next week. Since Thunder is feeling well, he may even get a few walks with Storm in this weekend because she can start easing into some activity.
That is if the weather cooperates. The weather is calling for more cold, wind and rain.
Freighter is entered in his first hunt test for the season next weekend so we hope to get some training done despite the predicted lousy weather. This Spring has been really tough on our training schedule. Some things we would have liked to work on we have not been able to get to, but we will give the test our best shot. Experience a dog gains while testing can also be helpful.
What are your plans for the weekend?
I hope your weather improves so you can get outside, train and have FUN this weekend!
Unfortunately, we know tests are great learning experiences, not always just for titles.
Glad Thunder is doing all right and might be able to go for some walks. Also hope the weather holds off so Freighter gets in his practice time. Good luck.
Glad to hear that everyone is recovering well. I hope you get some good weather for everyone to enjoy!
The dogs finally have their fenced in yard, so I imagine I’ll be out there throwing the ball a lot! Our weather has been so up and down too, I think tomorrow morning may be the only time it’s decent before storms come through and bring back the cold. We had such a nice week, we wish it could last through the weekend!
I’m glad to hear that both Thunder and Storm are ready to start getting back out there, and hope that you can get some of that training in for Freighter too.
We sure hope the weather cooperates this weekend. Yay for Thunder is feeling better! 🙂
I’m glad you are all healed up, have a wonderful weekend.
I’m glad you feel good Thunder… and I’m glad you produced this fabulous litter with Glory (we saw Preacher yesterday, isn’t that a beauty?). we thought will work a little in the garden, but the weather looks like trouble, so we can apend an easy weekend under my blankie :o)
Glad to hear that Thunder is doing well after his surgery and didn’t need the cone of shame! The weather has had its ups & downs here as well – it was cool enough Saturday morning to go for a little backpack hike at a State Park close by.
Glad to hear he is doing so well. Hope the weather cooperated for your training.
I’m so glad you had a great recovery.
