Storm has been recovering from tendonitis in her shoulder. She has been on medication and rest for the last month or so. She seems to be recovering so the orthopedic vet who has been treating her gave permission for us to ease her back into activity.
She has been walking on lead. We have also allowed her to run and frolic in the yard. But she really wants to run and train. Last weekend we set up a training scenario with double marks on cut grass, nothing too big, just something so she could stretch her legs and allow her to ease back into activity.
How Storm Eased Back Into Activity
Storm has her own idea of easing back into activity.
The good news is that we saw no signs of limping after this training session so she will get to do some more soon.
“Dad? That was fun! Throw it again, Dad! DAD?”
how great that your should is ok, Storm. I hope so much that now your name is the motto and you can run like a storm >:O)
We just don’t understand the take is slow thing. With dogs it’s all or nothing most of the time I think.
Oh Storm! Sampson still wants to run and when he sees a dog or person he jumps with joy, which freaks me out but he just won’t listen. Glad she is feeling better!
Sure glad Storm got through her first exercise so to speak. Good news.
Glad to hear that she’s doing well! Easing back into activity isn’t really in Barley’s vocabulary, either.
Oh happy day! Storm certainly does not look impaired, but we know about limps! Macha says to stay well so you can have lots of fun this summer!
Storm, I had tendonitis in my forearm, take it easy it will go away!

I’m glad that Storm is getting to move around better. Tendonitis is no fun especially for such an active girl. ☺
Hi Y’all!
Hey, you’re right…when we feel good we want to go, go, go!!! Glad you’re feelin’ better Storm.
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
I’m not sure dogs really know how to ease back into anything, do they? We’re glad Storm was still doing well after this session!
Happy to hear that Storm is feeling better and “rarin’ to go”!!
Haha doesn’t look like she eased into it so well. Can’t keep them down
Glad to hear she’s doing well! Yup, she’s easing back into it just fine!
