It’s So Cold…

Yesterday I posted a picture of Storm looking wistfully out the window at the snow.  She was looking out the window because Sunday into Monday we got about 10 inches of snow.  Then Monday the temperature started to fall.  By Tuesday we had a low of -11 and wind chills around -35.  It was brutal.

All that lovely snow and it was too cold to enjoy it.  The dogs were out only a short time before they were lifting their paws up out of the snow.

These are a few pictures I took with my phone on Monday.

It is finally starting to warm up.  We might even have rain on Saturday!

Puppies

A couple of new pictures of Storm x Foreman puppies:

  1. Hi Y’all!

Compared to y’all it is a mid-summer’s dream here in the mountains! The Human’s nephew was transferred to Racine last spring. He just returned there after the Christmas, New Year holidays. Paws crossed he survives!

    Y’all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  2. We only got cold, no fresh snow so that was a bummer! The puppies are now dogs! Reminds me of Bailie that is turning into a dog herself. They grow up so very fast!

  3. We have had some really cold weather too. The dogs are stir crazy. Had one bird fatality. I think piper looks like storm. Very beautiful. And that Ice retrieve is just amazing.

  4. It’s been cold here too, but not THAT cold! OUCH. I wouldn’t even want to go out in that!

Those pictures of Storm’s puppies are awesome, they are as beautiful as she is. Thanks for hosting the hop and stay warm!

  5. Storm produces some good looking offspring!
Glad to hear everyone is surviving the Snowpocalypse and you’ll have relief soon!

  6. We’ve been freezing here but not nearly as badly as you have. And we don’t have snow! At least the wind stopped blowing and it is slowly warming up. Jan hasn’t even venture out of the house to walk us dogs in the morning lately. Well, that’s okay. We’re not thrilled with the weather either. Have fun in the snow when it warms up a bit.

  7. Oh, my! You all have had beyond cold temps, that is awful. You got quite a bit of snow too we see. We have freezing rain and wishing it would get warmer and melt all the ice. The puppies are beautiful, and my they are so big now! Great pictures. Stay warm and safe. Hugs and nose kisses

  8. Piper’s eyes are beautiful! And as jealous I am of anybody’s snow (we had a little of our own), I don’t envy the cold. One degree here was more than cold enough. Surprisingly, there’s a huge difference in two degrees and eight degrees. 😉

  9. Looks like you had a ton of fun in the snow!!It is warming back to normal winter temps here to finally!!!! My poor huskies…all this snow outside but its froze solid and not fluffy for playing in….they have not been impressed! LOL!!
    Happy TNT!!
((Husky hugz)) and #9 in the hop!

  10. That is way too much snow and way too cold for me! I love seeing the pups’ photos! Just great that their owners keep you posted on them.
    Happy Thursday,
    Oz

  11. What beautiful pups! I was so excited when winter started out with a good snowstorm and it looked like it would be a white Christmas. It kind of went downhill from there…..

  12. I agree! Piper has very beautiful eyes! I hope it warms up for you but I hope you dont get rain!
We’re #17 in the hop, come on by!

  13. Hope it warms up for you. It has been cold here but not near as cold as what it is where you all live. The two pups are beautiful! Love the pics.

  14. It’s warming up now. Our snow should be melted soon. Love the photos, especially the ones of Storm’s pups. 🙂

  15. Great photos! When Sophie was younger, I took her duck hunting warm springs in -20 and she got a small dot on her nose from frostbite. We had a great time but -5 is about my limit now.

  16. All that snow!! Gorgeous pictures! You can’t get better than dogs in snow!
Love Carrie (Myfie, Ellie and Millie) x
