Whether we are ready for it or not!  Storm will be running her first Senior Hunt Tests starting tomorrow…keeping our fingers crossed for her.

Thunder got precious little training this week due to our super busy schedule.  The weather was horrible so I didn’t even take my camera the one day I tagged along to throw marks for him.  But there is one benefit to all of the rain we have been getting-most of the places we train have standing water.  We can use that!  We found a little gully in the school yard near our house that was full of water and fairly wide at one end.  It was a good place to reinforce some handling and having Thunder go straight through the water to the bumper and come straight back.  The disadvantage was that we really couldn’t stretch out the distance, but still it was a good way to give some “over” commands in water.  Thunder also had his weekly training session with the golden retrievers, but the photographer didn’t tag along this week.  🙂  I am told the weather was not good.  (What is new?)  The weather is predicted to be warm and sunny for the tests this weekend.  Of course! Our dogs seem to run better in cooler, rainy weather, but we will see…
