This week seemed shorter than normal.  It wasn’t of course, but it seemed that way.  We got out to train some land doubles and some pattern blinds yesterday.  We set up a nice double at 90 degrees in an open field.  One mark was thrown with a stationary winger, and the other was hand thrown.  We varied which mark was thrown first and the position of the hand thrown mark, (sometimes it was thrown toward the field, sometimes toward the fence and variations of position).  The 2 brown dawgs did very well on these.

Storm is so quick at picking up the bumpers now that it is difficult to get a good picture of her.

Thunder wasn’t moving as fast but I still didn’t get a lot of photos of him.

Ooops!

After the marks we set up pattern blinds and did a little handling including a cold bind for Storm.  Both dogs did very well with the handling.  Thunder’s was nice and crisp.  Storm seemed a bit confused at times, which I guess is to be expected since she has a different handler than she is used too.  Despite a bit of confusion, her handling is still very nice and her whistle sits and come in whistles are quite nice.  On the cold blind, Storm line-blinded it and required no handles.  We will make that more of a challenge next time.  🙂

Even though it looks like it is snowing in this picture, I promise you it is not.  The cottonwood trees are seeding and the fluff is blowing all over.  Ah-choo!

Snowing?

Have a nice weekend.
