We spent the last week up at our cabin with the 2 brown dawgs and one black cat.  I think we were all stressed after Thunder’s surgery, so it was nice to relax a bit up there, (of course we had some chores to do, but nothing too much).  The weather was picture perfect.  Warm days and cool nights.  The bugs liked the weather too and there wasn’t much wind, so there weren’t any walks through the woods, (those will have to wait a bit since bugs seem to love brown dawgs just as much as they love the brown dawgs’ people).

A few pictures of the brown dawgs…

Thunder--Prime spot to watch the birds and squirrels at the feeders.
Storm--Much cooler without my heavy winter coat.
Thunder--I think I should see what is over here.
Thunder--There could be anything under this cover.
Storm--Lots of smells under these bird feeders.
Storm--Hmm there might be bunnies or ground squirrels over here.

And a couple of Nestle Crunch…

Nestle--They really need to make window sills wider.

Nestle--Think I'll find a better place to lay in the sun.

This last week Thunder has really become more like his old self.  Even though we planned this vacation a few months ago, it was good timing.  Thunder still can’t train, but since he was up all day hanging out with us, he slept soundly all night.  Now he just has a few short days to wait until he can run some short marks and blinds.

We did have one marathon training session with Storm at her trainer’s place.  Stay tuned for pictures of that…
