Big News
I would like to share some exciting news about the hop. This ‘N That Thursday has a new co-host.

The V-E-T
Ah the V-E-T. We had to take Storm and Freighter to the V-E-T Tuesday night. Storm needed her annual Lepto vaccine and Freighter needed a re-check for a minor issue from a couple of weeks ago. Neither Storm nor Freighter were thrilled about being at the V-E-T. I can’t blame them. They rarely go for anything fun. 🙂
I snapped a couple of pictures with my cell.
In no time they were finished and out the door. Whew! They were relieved.
The B-A-T-H
I finally had time to give Freighter the long promised bath with the Rainforest Coastal Labs shampoo that JoAnn from Sand Spring Chesapeakes sent for us to try. Freighter was not too cooperative. He was OK when I lathered him up, but he was not too thrilled when I tried to rinse him. Luckily the shampoo was very easy to rinse. It had a light scent and left him nice and clean. He was doing a bit of scratching before the bath. I think it was because he had a lot of dead hair which I hoped would come out with the bath. I think it worked. His coat looks a lot better and he is not scratching.
Thank you JoAnn for the sample. I love the shampoo! I definitely plan to bathe Thunder and Storm this Fall, but Freighter was enough of a challenge for one day!
Sunrise
Finally, I took this picture of the sun rise last Sunday. Rain was on the way as you might be able to tell from the sky.

Hello Ruskus! My Human loves doggies with long white hair…when she was a baby her folks had a Somoyed…so she’s partial to fluffy white paws.
I don’t mind going to the vet until I’m in “the exam room”…then I try to escape by rearin’ up and openin’ the door…but they have knobs to open their doors! Paws and knobs don’t go…:(
You sure that picture is a sunrise? Kind of looks like when we burn the wetlands…only upside down!

How fun to have Ruckus as a cohost! We found him through triberr and have been reading his posts. I feel for the two going to the vet, never a visit for “fun”, and then a bath, poor Freighter, what else could go wrong. Hope he got some nice treats for all that trouble.

I don’t know what it is about baths that give dogs the zoomies, but my dogs do it too. It’s funny but with big dogs you have to step back, they can easily do some serious damage. 🙁

Kind of a tough week for the dogs…the vet is never fun and let’s not talk about baths…At least you knew the sun would be coming out 🙂 Had to laugh at flea’s comment…Labs, like Chessies, do dry off really quickly…Gizmo takes a whole lot longer to dry than Murphy ever did

Welcome to Ruckus as co-host! What a beautiful sunrise photo. Poor Freighter v-e-t and b-a-t-h! Oh well, these things have to be done. And he looks so handsome after his bath. When we finally got Sheba a bath it stopped all her itching too. I think she also had a lot of dead fur, she had been shedding like crazy and had some mats too (lucky for you those short haired dogs don’t get those mats).
When humans start spelling, it means N-O G-O-O-D. Something must be in the air because we gots B-A-T-H-S this week too.

Beautiful sunrise! Maya loves the vet. It doesn’t matter what she has to go for. She loves it. Pierson is the complete opposite. He is naturally a skittish dog from his breed but he completely freaks out at the vet. I’ve never seen him so scared in any other situation. Thankfully, both Maya and Pierson are great at baths. They actually love the rinse part. And both get the post bath zoomies.
I’m pretty obsessed with sunsets recently and that one is very pretty! Poor dawgs, a v-e-t visit and a b-a-t-h abrewing.
Great TNT! Great news about Rukus being the co host! Wonderful!! I was wondering if you were going to have co hosts. Your welcome for the shampoo. I just bathed my whole gang today with it. I think it leaves their coats really soft.
Beautiful sunrise! Our V-E-T recommended that we bring a couple of our guys in for social visits and treats to overcome their stigma of the V-E-T. Maybe that’s why dentists give you a treat or a prize when you visit them?
