We are back from our vacation.  The weather was kind of stinky.  Rainy, windy and cold for a good part of the week.

Crummy vacation weather didn’t bother the brown dawgs though.  They had their humans around 24-7.

Here are some pictures of what they were up to last week.

Did you see my post from last Monday about Opening Day?  I was pretty proud of myself because I posted it from my phone (with phone pictures and very little 3G service).  Here is a better picture of Thunder that I took with my real camera.

Those two birds were all the birds for the entire week.  The weather definitely played a part and a few missed shots did not help.  I will have more hunting pictures in future posts.

We had to have a bunch of dead trees cut down and of course Storm helped.

The brown dawgs checked out the Blood Moon.

What is a vacation without tasty snacks?  More on these treats in a future post.

Freighter went to town with us when we had to take our 4 Wheeler in for service.

He visited Tractor Supply where they give dawgs treats.  🙂

They checked out the Fall colors and visited a cider mill.

The dogs couldn’t really get out at the Cider Mill, but they enjoyed the car ride.

We had our first frost of the season.

They even got to hang out at the campfire.

Good thing I had a box of Three Dog Bakery’s Beggin’ For S’Mores on hand to keep the dawgs happy.  (If you want to order some of these treats to pass out at your own Fall campfire, remember that the Three Dog Bakery is offering a 15% discount with the code DAWGS through October 31st.  Link on my sidebar.)

It was a fun week, but now it is back to work for the humans.  Please bear with me while I catch up, especially if you joined Thursday’s Barks and Bytes hop.  I will be around to visit as soon as time permits.

I also have some fun giveaways coming up this month.  One will be starting this week, so check back for that.

  1. Looks like a relaxing, fun time perfect for camp fires – and treats!

  2. Looks like a great place but sorry the weather was so awful. Nevermind at least you made the most of it. Have a marvellous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  3. Hi Y’all!

Gettin’ lots of wet and gloom here in the mountains too.

Looks like y’all found ways to have fun despite the weather!

    Y’all come by now,

  4. Sounds pretty relaxing. Even though no one wants bad weather on a vacation, it does often force you to do a lot of nothing but relax.

  5. Love the pictures and I had to smile at Freighter visiting Tractor Supply, since it’s one of Haley’s favorite places to visit. It’s interesting seeing Thunder and the grouse. I didn’t realize that’s what they looked like.

  6. I’m reading these in reverse, but good, glad to see you got to do some other fun things even though the hunting and weather weren’t that great. Plus you all just got to be together!

  7. Well I’m behind on reading too and I was not on vacation! Lol

It looks like despite the crappy weather you found plenty to keep yourselves occupied.
