Freighter Says Bring On More!

We had an interesting weekend.  We had big plans to get out to the farm for group training, but Saturday morning they had three inches of new snow on the ground there so training was cancelled.  Hubby and I were going to go to the local park to with Freighter to train on our own, but the weather turned windy with show showers, so we bagged that.  We figured we would get out on Sunday instead.

Unfortunately Sunday was a repeat of Saturday with wind, snow and then changing to rain showers.  We never got out to train, but Freighter made his own fun in the yard.  Can’t let a Spring snow go to waste.

How was your weekend?

  1. we had the same crazy weather, but our snow was rain… I remember that we last year wore t-shirts and shorts that time… and this year we sit under a blanket and pamper our flu :o(

  2. Oh my, you definitely got a winter déjà-vu in your neck of the woods…It hasn’t been that bad here, but it has cooled down considerably, going from temps in the 60s/70s back down to the 40s/50s.

  3. It astounds me that people are experiencing so many different types of weather this spring – we had sunshine. My allergies are killing me this morning, because I spent so much time outside. Worth it? Yes.

  4. My poor flowers are down for the count, eight inches of snow beginning late evening Friday. Erynn thought she had discovered a winter wonderland; snow snakes, holes up to her eyebrows looking for critters, punching the ice in her hippo pond and a new white coat. Macha, a bit more seasoned, would have preferred sun! Today, not a flake left.

  5. We’ve had snow showers and snow on and off for the last week or so. Snow flurries again this morning, but it is April.

  6. Thankfully, we didn’t have snow – or rain – but it was cold and windy. Instead of spending the whole day (almost) playing and working on Ducky’s impulse control, we played/worked in several 5-10-minute intervals. While the girls would have been happy to stay outside the whole time, I needed to come inside to warm up my toes and fingers.

  7. Glad to see Freighter out there enjoying it! We’ve been getting off and on snow a lot lately. But the weekend was just cold and windy. We want spring back! Whenever it snows it just melts and leaves behind a muddy mess in the dog pen!

  8. That is one happy pup! Spring is on the way – probably. Enjoy the last bit of snow frolic.

  9. No snow showers here, which is good because French Quarter Festival in the snow would have been pretty odd–to say the least–for New Orleans in April. 😉 Hope spring finds you–for good–very soon!

  10. This year is weird. The temperature is mild (65-75) but it seems like it rains hard every weekend. Hard to get outside and enjoy or get anything done.

  11. Hi Y’all!

It was so difficult to relate to your snow in April when it was more like summer in the low country…so we packed up and left for the high country where spring is just arriving. But no snow. Just beautiful sunshine forsythia, daffodils and green startin’ up the mountains…warm days and chilly nights.

    Beautiful snow photos.

    Y’all come on by,
    Hawk aka BrownDog
